Ohio's TechCred Program allows employers to up-skill current and future employees in today's tech-infused economy. Ohio-based Employers who submit successful applications will be reimbursed up to $2,000 per employee credential (up to $30,000 per funding round) when current or prospective employees complete eligible technology-focused credentials. eCornell Online Course Facilitators -- Product Development We are seeking additional facilitators for our Product Development certification program. If you are interested in the position, please apply via the posting linked below. In this program, students will learn how to bring a product from concept to market launch, becoming fluent in all facets of the product development and manufacturing process. Every great product begins with a prototype, so your students build one as a course project and use it to conduct customer discovery interviews. The information the students gain from these interviews can then help them iterate their ideas and level up what they can offer customers. From small-batch manufacturing to large-scale production, the physical product development process is often complex. The courses in this program provide the student with a concrete set of best practices and tools that they can download and use to not only complete assigned projects, but also deploy later in their own real-world product development process, such as production techniques and materials handbook, Gantt charts to plan hiring and production stages, a design checklist, and a funding pitch deck. They will get a chance to virtually “visit” a plastic injection molding company near Cornell University and experience multiple interviews with manufacturing experts and product entrepreneurs. If the answer is: No ❌ It's time to explore the Learning Cluster Design (LCD) model. 🚀 It’s not just about having multiple assets. It’s about having the optimal ones - that goes across all three learning touchpoints. 💡 That’s what building the Learning Cluster Map in the Surround Action is all about. 🗺 We don’t jump straight to Learning Asset Development. We spend sufficient time selecting the assets that best suit our personas. ⏰ Rather than just providing an opportunity to practice learning, create assets, like: ➞ Social ➞ Formal ➞ Immediate That allows learners opportunities to generate their own meaning out of what’s been learned and reflect on their thought process surrounding a solution. 🧠 Try to, ⭐ Train your trainers and SMEs to create space in learning for generations - to think about the personas in the room and on-the-job changes you’re trying to create ⭐ Use technology to help create space. Here’s an example: If you want your learners to walk away with how to handle a customer complaint, rather than just having them role-play out a new model, encourage your learners to reflect with each other in Slack on their thought process surrounding coming up with a solution and create a space for reflection and discussion. ⭐ Don’t forget that teaching is learning too. Giving learners the opportunity to teach others what they’ve learned is another way to help them continue to make sense. Think of ways to include this opportunity as an asset in your learning cluster. 🚀 Excited to unveil my latest endeavor: ISRA IMRAN Student Management System Project 🎓 📝 Project Overview: I have developed a comprehensive Student Management System using Node.js, leveraging the inquirer and chalk libraries for a seamless command-line interface. 💡Key Features:- 1.Student Enrollment and Management: Add New Students: Effortlessly add new students to the system, each receiving a unique ID starting from 10000. Enroll in Courses: Students can be enrolled in multiple courses, with the ability to update and track their course lists dynamically. 2.Payment Processing: Balance Inquiry: Quickly view the current financial balance for any student, ensuring transparency and ease of access. Fee Payment: Facilitate the payment of student fees, with real-time balance updates and confirmation messages. 3.Course Administration: Manage Courses: Enroll students in various courses, and maintain an up-to-date list of courses for each student. Course List Display: Easily display the courses a student is enrolled in, providing a clear overview of their academic engagements. 4.Comprehensive Status Reporting: Student Status: Generate detailed status reports for students, including their ID, name, enrolled courses, and financial balance. 5.User-Friendly CLI: Interactive Prompts: The system uses inquirer to present interactive prompts, making the user experience seamless and intuitive. It’s easy to be frustrated by completion rates. And when the blame game starts, it’s one side pointing to the other:  “Don’t blame the course! All the platform can collect is completion.”  “Don’t blame the platform - all the course does is impart information and no relevant data is even trying to be collected beyond pass/fail.” Which one is holding you back from being more data-driven? Your platform or your content? In a very typical L&D manner, it’s a very tactical problem getting the way of a strategic need! I think separating content and technology as distinct solutions is the starting point of the issue. One of the hidden secrets of L&D is that proper impact measurement requires designing for the data as much as it is having the technology to capture it. Instead we typically have separate technology solutions (This is my LMS.) and content solutions (This is my course library.) who both punt the ball to the other side for meaningful data capture. But we have to think of it as one experience - one solution - if we’re going to start breaking out of this rut. We need a more data-driven mindset in our learning technology SOLUTIONS, because getting better data in L&D is as much a design problem as it is a technology one. Start with the data (not the content, not the platform) and design to it. Rethink your course/program design to allow for more meaningful data collection and then find/develop the technology that can help you collect it. If all you design for is likeability and completion, that’s all you’re going to get. Whether you are on the strategy side, design, content development, or tech development, push for the data.
