These words by Émile Zola underscore the importance of both innate talent and relentless effort in the pursuit of excellence. While talent may provide a foundation, it is through dedicated practice, perseverance, and continuous learning that true mastery is achieved. As expert seekers, we recognize that our journey is not defined solely by our abilities but by the commitment to cultivate and refine them. We embrace the challenges, the setbacks, and the moments of uncertainty, knowing that each experience shapes us and brings us closer to our goals. So, let us honor our gifts by dedicating ourselves wholeheartedly to the work, and in doing so, unleash our fullest potential.

Wisdom, skill, and virtue are key components to success in any field. As David Starr Jordan said, "Wisdom is knowing what to do next, skill is knowing how to do it, and virtue is doing it." Without all three, one can never truly reach their full potential. As professionals, it's important to continuously strive for wisdom, to learn and understand what steps to take next. Skill is equally important, as it allows us to execute those steps with precision and excellence. But let's not forget about virtue, the act of actually doing what needs to be done. It's the combination of all three that sets us apart and propels us towards our goals. So, let's continue to pursue wisdom, build our skills, and always strive to do what's right. With these three elements in place, we can achieve anything we set our minds to.

What is your first memory from childhood? It’s a great question that most of us never revisit. I say this because it creates a limiting belief or key decision. It may have been falling and hurting to asking and not getting. Then we concocted; we wanted attention and didn’t get it = I AM NOT ENOUGH. We let a moment freeze us in time and make a decision that shapes our entire life. For some of us this is to always achieve and to be doing. For some of us we shut off and will never go to the edge. If we clean up and revisit and connect with what happened just before, it can change everything. No affirmations, goal setting, routines, continuous grind or even installing a new belief. Just connecting with the truth and experiencing it. To your mastery, Andrew. 📷 Kensington, London 1988 - a life metaphor that must be taught; we have the code to any feeling.

Isn't it funny how the pursuit of knowledge often leads us to a humbling realization? The more I wade into the pool of information, the more I accumulate, the more I find myself standing at the edge of the unknown. It's like going after a goal that keeps moving just out of reach. I've come to understand that true wisdom is not about having all the answers but acknowledging the vastness of what we don't know. The more I know, the more I'm certain that there's always more to discover, more to explore. It's a beautiful paradox – the more we acquire, the more we realize the depth of our ignorance. Recognizing this humility in our journey keeps our curiosity thriving and pushes us forward on the ongoing quest for understanding. So, lets appreciate the fact that there's always more to explore and discover, finding joy in the endless pool of knowledge. #GrowthMindset
