Title: "Empowering Youth: Catalysts for Peace and Security Worldwide" The role of youth in curbing violence is pivotal, particularly in Africa and beyond. Young people represent a force for positive change, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to address underlying issues contributing to violence. By engaging in community initiatives, advocacy, and education, youth can dismantle cycles of violence. Empowering them through mentorship and leadership opportunities fosters resilience and active participation in conflict prevention. Recognizing the unique insights and energy of youth is essential for building peaceful societies globally. In Africa and other regions, harnessing the potential of young leaders holds the key to creating a safer, more harmonious world for generations to come.

On Tuesday we hosted an online event to share the key findings from our recent report from the Employment & Skills support provision from the third sector conference (Black Country). Thank you to those who attended for their valuable insights as we discussed the findings and the opportunities to create meaningful change. What comes through very strongly is that the Third Sector are a significant contributor to successful employment and skills support, interventions and outcomes, but this isn't reflected in employment and skills modelling and commissioning. We work with many thousands of people here in the Black Country but despite this many organisations said they have not been consulted on major changes which are affecting us and the people we serve. Without a resilient Third Sector we are facing a huge knock-on effect across our communities, and the impact of changes in the funding landscape will have a huge negative impact. We invite all third sector organisations who provide employment and skills support (or support which directly contributes to employment and skills progression) to be part of the conversation, by joining Black Country Futures as associate members. There are no fees associated with this and we hope that we can create this space for people to have these conversations at a Black Country level but with a clear focus on us using this to try to have that collective voice and evidence base of the impact third sector providers have on employment and skills services and outcomes, and gives us a platform from which to reach influencers and decision makers, so that we (the sector) are included in conversations locally, regionally, and nationally about employment and skills support models and commissioning. https://lnkd.in/eY6gVYNf #community #funding #charities #cics #thirdsector #voluntarysector #esf #ukspf #employmentsupport #employability #skills #equality #socialimpact #partnership

"Organizations dedicated to serving marginalized communities of color have long played a safety net role, countering systemic inequities through culturally competent support and capacity building. The Asian Pacific Fund is a proud supporter of the LEAD for Racial Justice Initiative. The Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities will not be used as a wedge against other communities of color.
