Are we fostering truly inclusive environments for everyone in our community? July is Social Wellness Month, a time to celebrate and strengthen our social connections. For many of us, especially those who are neurodivergent or part of the LGBTQ+ community, achieving social wellness can come with unique challenges. As we gather this summer, let’s reflect on how we can make our spaces more welcoming and inclusive: Is our space sensory-friendly? How clear is our communication? Are we flexible and accommodating? Is our physical space accessible? How educated are we about neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ difficulties? Creating inclusive spaces requires proactive steps and empathy. This Social Wellness Month, let’s build healthier, more inclusive relationships. I invite you to read my latest article on embracing social diversity and navigating these challenges. Let's work together to create positive change! 🌍❤️ #SocialWellnessMonth #InclusionMatters #DiversityAndInclusion #Neurodiversity #LGBTQSupport #SocialWellness #EmpathyInAction

I guide progressive leaders and their teams away from burnout and towards greater self-awareness, balance and equanimity.
The stigma around mental health at work remains formidable. How on earth might we see this changing? Whose responsibility is it? This article suggests it’s the workplace’s responsibility to help end the shame–especially as new sources of potential stress are hoisted on a workforce. Many employees are navigating financial worries, disruptive new technology like A.I. (“AI anxiety” is already documented), social policy issues, and ongoing racial, religious, and LGBTQ discrimination in a polarized society-at-large. How a business runs from top down will and can make it a place where employees are psychologically comfortable and thriving. We need progressive leaders to step up. #leadership #mentalhealth

MHFA England® our #MyWholeSelf campaign is about creating workplace cultures where everybody is free to be themselves without fear of prejudice and harm. Whilst we are making some progress in creating inclusive work cultures, most of us would agree it is too slow, and there is so much more to do to make that a reality for so many people, including those who are trans and non-binary. The Sunday just gone was the International Trans Day of Visibility. It is held every year on 31st March and is a moment to celebrate the joy, resilience and contribution of trans and non-binary people across society. Prejudice, discrimination and the so called culture war inevitably has an emotional and mental toll on trans and no -binary people, that cannot be under-estimated. That is reflected in the significant disparities in mental health outcomes. Trans in the City, Gendered Intelligence, Black Trans Alliance, Stonewall and many others provide training, guidance and helpful information. Do check them out. My colleague Lewis wrote this blog about supporting the mental health of LGBTQ colleagues at work a little while ago and it is still relevant now. https://lnkd.in/ecAZktWe #InclusionAtWork #MyWholeSelf #TransVisibility
