DAY 1 OF #100daysofcode I decided to begin my refresher courses by diving into JavaScript (which will be referred to as JS). Today, I delved into the fundamentals of JS in Jonas Schmedtmann's "The Complete JavaScript Course 2024: From Zero to Expert!" on Udemy—my first-ever Udemy course! JavaScript is the most popular programming language in the world. It is also one of the most used languages in building web applications. JS is a high-level, object-oriented, multi-paradigm (allows for different styles) programming language. On day 1 I learned about: 1. Declaring variables, and understanding naming conventions (camelCase & PascalCase). 2. Data types (Number: floating-point numbers & integers), String (for text), Boolean(logical), Undefined (empty value), Null (also empty value), Symbol (unique & unchangeable value), BigInt (for larger Integers than Number type can hold). 3. Dynamic typing in JS: Embracing reassignment and variable mutation. 4. Variable declaration using var (old school), let (variables that can change), & const (immutable variables). 5. Basic operators in JS (mathematical, assignment, logical, comparison operators). #100daysofcodechallenge
