Happy International Women's Day! As I reflect on the past year, I am beyond grateful for the women I have had the support from at a professional (and a lot of times friendship) level. I am the luckiest person ever as the pictures are only a small sample of the awesomeness I work with every day! Also shout out to Morgan Higgins for giving us all a reason to get together today!

What is Irvine’s and philanthropy’s role in advancing gender equity? Irvine’s Robia Lee believes that, “Equity starts with identifying and dismantling barriers. It is about putting in place structures that enable women to participate in all aspects of society – whether it be in business or politics. I recognize that this is no easy task. However, philanthropy can play a critical role in advancing gender equity by deepening its understanding of issues that affect women, learning and partnering with those with lived experiences, and making investments that uplift the voices, perspectives, and contributions of women – such as investing in the care infrastructure.” Read more: https://irvine.ly/436C2Z7 #philanthropy #GenderEquity

Celebrating Women - Honouring Trailblazers and Inspiring Leaders Today we are celebrating International Women's Day and I am feeling reflective - not only from my own perspectives and experiences as a woman but also as I raise my daughter to be a strong and independent woman of the future. I wanted to take a moment to contemplate the incredible journey of women throughout history - from the courageous pioneers who shattered the barriers to the modern-day visionaries who continue to inspire. Countless women have shaped history. From Catherine the Great to Eleanor of Aquitaine. From Queen Amanirenas to Queen Elizabeth I, they've led armies, championed rights and left an indelible legacy. Susan B. Anthony, the suffragist who fought for women's voting rights. Rosa Parks, the civil rights activist who ignited by change by refusing to give up her seat. Marie Curie and Rosalind Franklin who made ground-breaking contributions to science - their collective impact reverberates through time. Fast-forward to today and we have amazing women such as Malala Yousafzai who, at just 15 years old, fiercely advocated for girls' education in Pakistan, and Greta Thunberg with her unwavering dedication to combating climate change - both women reminding us that age and gender should not be barriers to making a difference. Then we can look closer to home at women such as the mothers we see balancing love, care and strength to shape the next generation to career women from CEO's to frontline workers contributing their skills and expertise across industries - breaking glass ceilings and proving that ambition knows no gender. Women are multifaceted - artists, scientists, athletes, caregivers and dreamers, juggling roles with grace, resilience and unwavering determination. Sometimes, being a woman can feel daunting and scary - but when you take a look at it - damn we are amazing! Let's celebrate the women who've paved the way, honour the progress we've achieved and commit to pushing boundaries even further. Together we'll create a world where every woman's potential knows no limits. #InternationalWomensDay #WomenEmpowerment #InspiringWomen #EqualityMatters

Three weeks ago we saw a flurry of activity and wonderful celebration of International Women's Day and highlighting the importance of diversity, equity, belonging and inclusion with this year's theme of #Inclusion. Yet now is the time to keep remembering: Inclusion is for all time not just one day. Inclusion matters EVERY DAY. When your way of working and collaborating truly engages everyone to feel they belong and are valued as they are (and don't need to 'put on a mask and be a different person to fit in' when they come to work), you raise wellbeing, engagement and sustainable high performance. Check out this inspiring video and some of the ways these fabulous speakers working with Speakers Associates Ltd could help to inspire your team or your organisation. #DEIB #diversity #equity #belonging #inclusion #leadership #teamperformance #engagement #wellbeing

Empowerment starts with 1 but the impact can be felt by many
This quote by the wonderful Maya Angelou is close to my heart and I’m sharing it with all women who are out there quietly and loudly making the world a safer place for all women. It’s not always easy, indeed it can come at the risk of one’s own well-being, but it is necessary. I see you and I thank you 🙏 In solidarity x

Happy International Women's Day! Today, we celebrate the incredible power of women rising together. We see it everywhere: The seasoned leader mentoring a budding entrepreneur. The scientist shares her groundbreaking research to inspire the next generation. The community organizer empowers women to fight for their rights. These are just a few examples of the strength women draw from each other. We are a collective force, fueled by shared experiences and a fierce desire to see one another succeed. This International Women's Day, let's celebrate the circle of support we create: Be the hand that lifts others. Share your knowledge, offer guidance, and champion the achievements of your fellow women. Seek inspiration from those who came before you. Their stories are a testament to what's possible. Pay it forward by extending support to women just starting their journeys. Together, we can build a more inclusive and empowering future for all women. #EmpowerWomen #BreakTheBias #WomenSupportingWomen

"Empowering women isn't just a moral obligation; it's an investment in the future. By investing in women, we accelerate progress not only for them but for entire societies. Let's commit to empowering women and watch as our collective future blossoms with opportunity and equality." In whatever we do, we believe that starting without women on board is a false start.
Let's celebrate the incredible women who make a positive impact in our homes and communities. Their dedication inspires us to make a difference too. Let's work together for a brighter future.
