Sooo, I passed the #CISSP exam... Almost an entire month ago! The endorsement packet instructions could've been more explicit, but I got it together and submitted it nearly 3 weeks ago. Not only that but take a look at the test center printout below. It says the test results take 2-5 business days to get transmitted to ISC2, which is on par with snail mail. (Legit question: Are the results sent via USPS with standard postage?) What a slow process! There's certainly room for growth.
What are other people's experiences with ISC2 regarding getting credentials conferred? I contacted their member support, but they couldn't tell me if anything had been done or what progress had been made. Is this due to secrecy or a lack of visibility? The endorsement status page hasn't been updated since I submitted the endorsement packet, so I can't tell if I'm near or far from the finish line or what still needs to be done. When I get a package shipped through FedEx or UPS, I get delivery updates and statuses directly to my phone. I realize this isn't a delivery service, but there has to be some middle ground between a black box and detailed step-by-step insights. Now that I passed the exam, my challenge to ISC2 is to find a way to streamline your processes.
Anyway, I'm eager for the official endorsement so I can add this new title to my growing list of post-nominal credentials.
