Can AI help mitigate the effects of climate change? This post by Melissa P. of Appen makes a pretty good case that the answer is yes. Appen is a provider of LLMs, so to them climate change mitigation probably looks like a market to sell into, but that doesn't negate her points. At it's core, AI engines process enormous amounts of data, and provide predictions.
