Kirsty Jarvis’ Post

As this is currently a tough economy for startups, I’ve been wondering how this has impacted female founders who already find it harder to raise money? My fear is - based on many of the stories I’ve heard from female founders over the years - it won’t be a pretty picture out there. Which is a depressing thought for a Monday. 🫣 However, it is good to know there are grants and support available out there, specifically for women in tech….👇🏻 #womenintech #femalefounders #diverseinvestment #vcfunding #startupfundinh

Connecting high-growth potential start-ups in East Anglia to smart capital

2mo

It's tough out there for start-up founders who are trying to raise equity funding. We know that just 2% of equity investment goes to female founders currently. This is a really worrying statistic and I share your concerns that with the current squeeze on funding, female founders are likely to be negatively impacted.   Part of the puzzle is definitely to grow the number of women in angel investing because we know that typically 25-50% of a female angel's portfolio will be made up of female-led businesses. It's something we're working hard on at Anglia Capital Group It's great to see this grant and support initiative from Innovate UK, thanks for highlighting it.
