In 1930, JM Keynes predicted we’d be working 15-hour weeks as living standards improved and technology stepped in. That has… not worked out so much. #ArtificialIntelligence (assuming we use it intelligently) may help realise Keynes’ vision. It may just shift work from one task to another – and maybe even an entirely new one centred around the new possibilities. Or it may just go ahead and knock our hours down to 0 and not in a fun way (albeit much less likely, this one). What it seems very likely to do is entirely reshape and refine how we work. That also means huge communications challenges, from #ChangeManagement programmes in supporting colleagues adopt and adapt, to #CrisisCommunications arising from, basically, most scenarios possible as the world learns how to best use AI at a time in which stakeholder capitalism and #SocialImpact are rising up the agenda. So, with all that said, very excited to take part in CREtech’s first set of #CREtechConversations next week at #CREtechLondon, looking at the transformative potential of AI. The sessions – with other roundtables at the discussion chaired by some of European #RealEstate and #proptech’s best respected professionals (and, um, me) – will touch on its transformative potential, the impact on job roles, ethical considerations and challenges, and adoption strategies. Because, after all, if we don’t adopt it, then it’s not going to make much of a difference. Looking forward to touching a bit on the communications challenges in the session – but very much more so in speaking to a group of passionate innovators in the #property and #tech worlds on how they see AI and its potential. Another great session with amazing & inspiring attendees in London last week, again focusing on the topic of AI use cases in marketing. Amongst many other things (including my anti-suit outfit), my top 3 takeaways were: 1. How to "start small & scale fast" - firms are already seeing some "quick wins" in areas such as RFPs, DDQs and Translation (the latter already opening up some new markets!); as well as their internal knowledge sharing 2. Working with what you've got - using industry leading tools you already own to make progress quickly and benefit from rapid improvements being made in this space is a cost-effective and easy way to get started 3. The "talent & change challenge" - how AI is changing the game when it comes to the talent and skillsets you need in your teams; as well as how to measure performance & go through the change management journey. In fact, the change journey is the hardest part to work through on the way to AI success! Super pumped to be helping firms figure this out & working with them on their journey to achieve operational efficiency & unlock new markets with AI!
