Register via the link: https://lnkd.in/emMYbu2M We’re looking for people who can: • Gather, analyse and interpret evidence from a range of sources • Produce clear, well-structured and succinct written work which can be easily understood by non-technical readers • Draw valid and succinct conclusions that are clearly evidence based • Present complex and nuanced findings in a way which can be easily understood by various audiences • Engage confidently and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels • Work co-operatively and collaboratively as part of a team In addition, we are looking for the candidates with the following attributes: • Intellectual curiosity, especially about using a range of evidence sources to answer questions. • Flexibility to make a significant contribution across a range of topics and outputs in a variety of teams. • Strong interest in the work of the NAO and public policy across a range of sectors. • Attention to detail in documenting and maintaining a reliable audit trail • Drive and determination to overcome obstacles, resistance or challenges to achieve goals. • Commitment to personal development and keeping technical skills up to date. • Interest in influencing people and identifying opportunities to improve public services. I recently interviewed for a financial analyst position and here are some things I learned: 1. A job title is not a cookie cutter thing. For instance, a financial analyst at one organization may have duties more like an accountant versus identifying trends and driving business decisions. 2. Don't pause your search for anything. It doesn't matter if you're 2 rounds into the interviews or in the final stage, keep applying and networking. 3. Apparently ATS systems can reject your application prematurely due to glitches. That's not something I've ever experienced, but it was interesting to note. I really appreciated the opportunity and I am proud of the steps I've taken to even get this far. In my career as a data analytics contractor, I've seen a significant difference in work ethics.
