Dear #Recruiting, #Hiring, #HR Staff, etc... Please see the pic below. Over FIFTEEN HUNDRED APPLICANTS, for an #EntryLevel position, and it's being #Reposted. I've seen COUNTLESS listings like this..dozens/hundreds of applicants, and the job being reposted within a timeframe that makes it obvious that: - no one on the receiving side did the necessary #DueDiligence to go thru all of the applicants, and that -no one in any position of authority over the #HiringProcess is doing THEIR job, either. The pictured example was Posted on Sep 15, 2023, LESS THAN A MONTH AGO. How long do you think it would take to ACTUALLY GO THRU fifteen hundred applications? Is it safe to say it would be more than a month? Exactly. THIS is a major reason why experienced, qualified people are going MONTHS, and in some cases YEARS unemployed or underemployed. The hiring process being needlessly and disrespectfully dragged out (multiple rounds, long waiting periods between updates/stages, etc) is another. These are NOT problems with CANDIDATES. They are problems with YOUR COMPANY. But Candidates are the only ones suffering any negative consequences! What is WRONG WITH Y'ALL?!?!?

❌Rejected Candidates deserve timely and respectful communication about hiring outcomes - whether selected or not. I've been shocked by responses like "We don't have time to provide feedback to all candidates." Unacceptable. Or LinkedIn hiring when someone of your contacts posts hiring and communicating with him isn't via email, and after submitting and requesting feedback, he tells me he will call me tomorrow, is rotten joy. Unfortunately, they don't have the boldness to face. or they know about something about apology. Both the company and the candidate invest valuable time and resources. There must be mutual respect. Providing clear updates and constructive feedback, even for rejected candidates, demonstrates professionalism. It helps people improve for future opportunities, rather than leaving them feeling ignored and undervalued. #hiring #hrpractices #candidateexperience
