I distinctly remember I was given Rs 1000 as a weekly allowance for my commute from Dewas to Ujjain for college which included bus and auto and Rs 500 was half of that amount! But today, it is a common practice in us youth to not think twice before splurging 500! From coffees, food, cafes, movies, popcorn, expensive creams, face wash and what not! You name it, it's highly likely that it might be priced around 500 On the front page of TOI, there is this campaign by Flipkart which definitely is a 10 on 10! 1. It is in the form of Monopoly- I loved that game not only was it super fun but also taught about optimisation of money at a very early age.What did you like the most while playing Monopoly!? 2. It focuses on how almost all of us without thinking much spend up Rs 500 The crux being the significance of Rs 500 which it tries to showcase for rather joining Flipkart loyalty program also priced at Rs 499! From a marketing standpoint, the campaign draws a sharp contrast of mindless 500 spending to that with Flipkart VIP which gives a host of benefits and hence justifies the ROI! #marketing #advertising #india #ad

𝐌𝐲 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐅𝐀𝐊𝐄/ 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐢𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐭 Apart from the above anomaly in name of the Company, some more anomalies I found in the product delivered by Flipkart after I realised there was something wrong when I used the product: 2) M,aharashtra instead of Maharashtra 3) Unable to scan Bar Code number 4) Logo of Unilever but Manufactured by AL PLA India Private Limited 5) Different texture and quality of product as compared to original #JagoGrahakJago. Looks like I was sleeping when I accepted the product 😁 and I trusted Flipkart despite having trust issues in my life. So I approached Flipkart. They investigated and agreed that this is a Fake product and the seller agreed to return the product and refund. WOW. How simple for Flipkart but what about consumer's trust ? I now scan all the products I receive and check the labels. But what about other consumers who couldn't identify the fake product. They think that the product quality is bad. What actions is Unilever and other companies taking to curb duplicity and counterfeit products that are being sold in the marked and doing more damage than good. How are their auditors reconciling their sales across platforms? 🤔 Before reading the label and finding the fraud, for a minute I thought I will have to discontinue using the brand. Don't Flipkart and Unilever calculate that this will impact rest of the consumers and long-term impact on their brand? What steps are being taken by not just by these companies but also by Amazon Myntra AJIO.com Zepto Blinkit and all the other e-commerce companies? How an advertisement featuring Amitabh Bachchan landed Flipkart in trouble. Here’s everything you should know about👇🏻 Recently, Flipkart, in collaboration with the legendary Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, released an advertisement to promote their upcoming sale. In this ad, Mr. Bachchan claimed that the incredible mobile deals on Flipkart won't be found in physical retail stores. The All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA), representing 150,000 mobile retailers, expressed their concern. They felt that such advertisements could mislead customers with false information. AIMRA even reached out to smartphone brands, urging them to clarify the situation in prominent media outlets. In addition, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) voiced their disappointment with Mr. Bachchan, accusing the ad of spreading misinformation that could negatively impact local businesses. As a response to the situation, Flipkart has now made the ad private on YouTube. I personally find it crucial to keep an eye on such industry developments. Every middle-class Indian boy has grown up with this conversation everyday, especially in their summer vacation but now things have changed. We have quick commerce! Blinkit, Swiggy and Zepto have pretty much nullified this experience in the new generation's childhood but at what cost? Recently, Flipkart launched a campagin taking a dig at the quick commerce companies and I asked myself 5 very important questions. 1. Do you I really need ration and electronics immediately like dhaniya or milk? 2. What would it cost these companies to bring two orders from opposite corners of the locality with the 10-min timer on their heads? 3. Where will the company recover this cost from? Will it pay out of its own pocket till I get hooked and it becomes a new way of life? 4. If a company has 100 orders in a 10 min window in the same area, what's the likelihood of them finding the best quality non-packaged products for me? 5. Do I really get the delivery in 10 mins or fall for the marketing play like a simpleton? That being said, I still think I can't go back to bringing dhaniya every few hours as per my mother's mood but I can definelty plan larger items like Ghee and shop them on time from a good retailer or take the cycle out once in a while.
