As Indonesia commemorates National Heroes Day, our hearts swell with pride and gratitude for the courageous individuals who, throughout history, have selflessly fought for the nation's freedom and independence. These heroes, whether known or unsung, embody the indomitable spirit that defines our rich cultural tapestry. Their sacrifices, often made in the face of adversity, serve as a testament to the strength that unity and determination can forge. On this solemn occasion, let us not only remember their heroic deeds but also strive to emulate the values they upheld—values of courage, resilience, and unity. It is a day to reflect on the shared history that binds us and to rekindle the flame of patriotism in our hearts. As we honor these national heroes, let their legacy inspire a collective commitment to building a harmonious, prosperous future for Indonesia, where the principles they fought for continue to guide us towards greater heights. Happy National Heroes Day! 🇮🇩 #ZealsAsia #IntegratedDigitalMarketingPlatform #NationalHeroesDay #IndonesiaMerdeka #UnityInDiversity

National Revival Day (Harkitnas) is a significant event in Indonesia's history, celebrated every year on May 20. This year marks the 114th anniversary of this important day, which commemorates the Indonesian people's awakening to their national identity. It is a time to reflect on the country's past and celebrate its progress towards independence. The National Revival period began in the early 20th century when the Dutch colonized Indonesia and imposed their political system on the region. However, this period also saw the emergence of new leadership organizations, fueled by the Dutch Ethical Policy that aimed to educate Indonesians. One such organization was Boedi Oetomo, founded on May 20, 1908. Its birth marked a significant milestone in Indonesia's nationalist movement and served as an inspiration for other political parties striving for independence. The first president of Indonesia, Sukarno, declared this day as the Day of the Rise of Indonesian Nationalism. Today, Harkitnas not only celebrates Boedi Oetomo's birthday but also serves as a reminder of its three ideals: liberating humanity, advancing the nation and homeland, and creating an honorable image for Indonesia in the world. As we face challenges brought about by the current pandemic, let us take inspiration from our past and unite as one nation to overcome these obstacles. Let us use this National Revival Day to reaffirm our commitment towards achieving a better future for our beloved country. I am a tauiwi... I use my non-Māori brown voice to amplify my support for the traditional owners of the land as tangata Tiriti. ———————————— Very early on in my journey in Aotearoa, I undertook a workshop with Tangata Tiriti - Treaty People, to learn about the Treaty of Waitangi. As someone who was not born or grew up in New Zealand, I felt it imperative to understand the fabric of the country. Thanks to the team at GoodSense who directed me to it. I urge everyone who migrated to New Zealand to take the workshop. Three simple things we can do as tauiwi to be good treaty partners: ✅ Be aware of the process of colonisation. If you like me, have had similar experiences in your home country, bring your empathy along. ✅ Respect boundaries of the tangata whenua, do not impose yourselves to be included, embrace where you can. ✅ Stand alongside the indigenous rights, hold your space, and add your voice in support ———————————— If you're in NZ, share below 👇🏽 how did you celebrate #WaitangiDay ———————————— 'He aha te mea nui tea o? He tangata he tangata, he tangata!' It is a Māori proverb. What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people!' ———————————— Connect Moumita Das Roy 🇮🇳🇳🇿 Follow hashtag #WonderingMo Ring 🔔 on my profile I write about: #SocialImpact #RacialEquity #DiversityAndInclusion ————————————

Some informal greetings in Yorùbá language. ✅ Greeting I: Báwo ni? ✅ Greeting II: Ṣé dáadáa ni? ✅ Response: Dáadáa ni. You can also add "Ẹ ṣeun" (Thank you) after "Dáadáa ni", to be extra courteous.
