Congratulations to LMI #DEIALeader, Ellen Rice Chever, for being chosen as the newest member of the Peninsula Chapter of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities. Ellen will support the organization’s mission to address prejudices to improve academic achievement, increase workplace productivity and enhance local trust. // #PeoplePoweringPossible #DiversityEquityInclusion #Inclusivity //

As we begin a new fiscal year, VCIC is thrilled and grateful to welcome the following individuals as new members of our Peninsula Chapter: Ellen Rice Chever (LMI) and Eric Maurer (United Jewish Community of the Virginia Peninsula). Local chapter members are the “eyes and ears” of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, identifying program opportunities, supporting the Peninsula Humanitarian Awards, and making sure that VCIC is well-connected in the communities we serve.

Thank you! I'm excited to continue to do this challenging work in our workplaces, in our academic institutions, and in our communities. Let’s build inclusion!
