Today I was interviewed by Trends Kanaal Z. Belgium does not escape the current slowdown in fundraising for venture capital. VC growth companies raised only 768 million € in 2023, compared to 1,5 billion € in 2022. Our industry faces challenging times as investors ask for profitability instead of growth at all cost. Although far less than in 2022, the amount of 768 million € is still in line with the amounts raised in 2018 and 2019.
