According to our recent analysis of 1,111 sites in 159 clinical trials, it has been found that the use of statistical data monitoring (SDM) significantly improves data quality. 📊🔍 The analysis, conducted by Sylviane de Viron, Laura Trotta, Will Steijn, Steve Young, and Marc Buyse, showed that quality improved in a whopping 83% of the sites using SDM compared to only 56% without it. 📈 Want to dive deeper into the findings? In a new draft guidance, the FDA describes expectations of data monitoring committees in #clinicaltrials. In this new Clinical Leader article, John Giantsidis of CyberActa and Remco Jan Geukes Foppen provide a summary of the guidance, including the difference between data monitoring committees and other oversight groups, data monitoring committee establishment and operation, and more.
