On #EnvironmentDay, we planted tree saplings across all our units. This initiative is part of CII Mysuru’s Mega Tree Plantation Drive. The goal of this drive is to plant 15000 saplings across Mysuru by the end of June. We are proud to contribute to this brilliant initiative. A big thank you to all our units and employees for actively participating and taking this forward. It’s a personal belief that every action, no matter how small, carries a significant impact when done collectively. As individuals and businesses, we all share the responsibility to safeguard our planet for future generations. For us, sustainability isn't just a choice, but our responsibility. Back to the place where I began my professional career in Tea Plantation #tea estate. But this time I am on a #Mission. A noble mission to transform Indian Tea Supply Value Chain into #Climate Change resilient #Carbon Neutral and #Sustainable through adoption of #Regenerative Agricultural practices which #trustea with help of #Hindustan Unilever plan to bring by adoption of RII Model (Retain, Improve, Introduce) through #Conventional Plus approach.

As the agenda of regenerative agriculture is further adopted by stakeholders, keeping in mind the myriad benefits from doing so; consider the #COP28 Action Agenda on Regenerative Landscapes. This is a flagship initiative led by the #COP28 Presidency, the WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and supported by the @UN High-Level Climate Champions (HLCC). In achieving palm oil supply chain sustainability, Earthqualizer Foundation and Inovasi Digital have supported AAK in monitoring their entire palm oil supply chain compliance against deforestation activities.🌴 Utilizing remote sensing technology and in-house analytics provided by Inovasi Digital, we monitor and report instances of non-compliance occurring within forested areas, peat forests, and peatlands, as well as potential impacts on endangered species, High Conservation Value (HCV) and High Carbon Stock (HCS) areas, and customary lands.🌳🌺 We express our sincere appreciation for AAK's unwavering commitment and proactive approach to ensuring a deforestation-free supply chain. Each day, amidst the hustle and bustle of the community, we strive to make a difference by collecting a staggering 200kg of waste, paving the way for a cleaner, greener future. At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Through our tireless efforts, we have managed to significantly reduce the amount of waste that would have otherwise ended up in landfills or, worse, our precious natural habitats. By collecting 200kg of waste every day from Kimara Baruti, we are not only cleaning up our immediate surroundings but also setting a positive example for the community at large. Our waste collection initiatives extend beyond mere cleanup efforts. We believe in the power of education and awareness, which is why we actively engage with residents to promote responsible waste disposal practices. By fostering a culture of recycling and waste reduction, we aim to create a lasting impact that will benefit current and future generations. As we continue our daily collection efforts, we are inspired by the progress we have made and the positive feedback we receive from the community. We see firsthand how a collective commitment to sustainability can lead to tangible results, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this transformative journey. One such practice is serving delicious Onam Sadhya served on 'Banana Leaves'. This beautiful tradition is not just about the food - it is a lesson in sustainability. Banana leaves are biodegradable. They are an eco-friendly alternative to disposable plates. Even if we use our steel dishes, a lot of water goes to waste while cleaning those plates.
