Flux is an integral component in the removal of metallic oxides that would otherwise inhibit filler metal flow. It is a chemical compound applied to the joint surfaces before brazing. Understanding the functions of flux and the stages of flux during heat application will help you achieve strong joints in your manufacturing process. During the process, carbon is diffused into the surface of the parts at elevated temperatures then quenched, resulting in a hard surface for wear resistance and a soft core for ductility. There are various methods to purify graphite. On the WFI US side of things, we’ve only had experience with high-temperature methods. Aside from our own experience, there are different methods like flotation, alkaline acid, chlorination roasting, etc… This goes back to our posts, over the last few weeks. There are so many material-specific techniques to fabricate high-purity graphite parts, that we’ve found there is no shame in leaning on experts. How to Choose the Diameter of Grinding Media? The size of the grinding medium diameter is determined by the raw material particle size and the target value of grinding dispersion. The smaller the diameter of the grinding medium, the more grinding balls there are per unit volume, the larger the total surface area of the grinding balls, and the smaller the gap between the grinding media. Therefore, it has a larger dispersed grinding area and limits the aggregation of materials, thereby improving the efficiency of dispersed grinding. But when the diameter of the ball is small to a certain extent, it will reduce the shear stress. According to the momentum theorem, when the mass is constant, the smaller the velocity, the smaller the momentum. Therefore, if the motion energy of the grinding ball is low, it will reduce the grinding dispersion efficiency.

In a general sense, hysteresis describes a situation in which input to a system causes a delayed result, and the system has changed significantly during the delay. #Hysteresis occurs in a system that involves a magnetic field. Hysteresis is the common property of ferromagnetic substances. Generally, when the magnetization of ferromagnetic materials lags behind the magnetic field this effect can be described as the hysteresis effect.

The classifying wheel is the core component of the airflow mill and classifier products, which is specially used for powder particle size sorting. Under the action of the fan suction, the material moves with the rising airflow to the classification area for coarse and fine material separation. The fine particles that meet the particle size requirements pass through the classifying wheel and enter the next component to be collected, and the coarse particles fall to the crushing area for further crushing.
