White Castle led the list with 72%, and Burger King followed at 52%.

💡 Fun story for the weekend : 🍔 McDonald's is revamping its burgers, aiming for fresher, tastier offerings. This includes more uniform searing of patties, more special sauce, and a buttery brioche bun for a homemade look. 🔧 Over 50 tweaks have been made to the burgers, marking the company's biggest upgrades in decades to its core menu. 🏁 This move comes in response to increased competition, especially from higher-end, fast-casual burger chains .📈 McDonald's U.S. same-store sales increased 10.3% in 2022, outpacing rivals like Burger King and Wendy's . The company earned $6.2 billion in profit last year.🌍 After successful testing in Australia, the new burger version is now rolling out in the U.S., with plans to reach all U.S. locations by early 2024.🎯 The company aims to maintain its momentum in the $136 billion U.S. burger market as the economy threatens to slow and competition grows.🔙 Some of the changes involve reviving practices McDonald's scrapped long ago in a push for efficiency.🍽️ The revamp applies to most of the burgers on its core menu, and McDonald's doesn't expect the changes to result in cost increases across menus. Pizza I haven’t posted a ‘Fascinating Fact’ for a while about Pizza’s Did you know that selling Pizza is big business within the convenience store sector! You didn’t, read on!! As well as Pizza’s themselves you can also buy pizza cutters, pizza trays, pizza bases, pizza flour, pizza dough, pizza mixes, pizza sauces, pizza toppings, pizza flavoured snacks, pizza wraps, baguettes & paninis, pizza sweets and even pizza scented candles, what candles, really! However, let’s focus on actual Pizza’s – Chilled and Frozen Pizza’s are sold across the entire estate of c11k convenience stores that we pull data from! In September there was an average of 2 pizzas per day sold in each store, and an average of £4.73 price mark, per pizza was spent. Frozen Pizza accounted for 82% of the Value and 85% of the Units sold in the month. The Top 3 Brands, you may want to know, were Chicago Town, San Marco & Goodfellas. Wow……. 60% The gross margin on prepared food and beverages at Casey’s General Stores, a Midwest convenience-store chain that also happens to be America’s fifth-largest pizza purveyor by number of kitchens. Its margin on fuel is closer to 10%. Casey’s and other convenience stores are trying to grab a bigger piece of the food business, which can offer appetizing margins.
