So, here I am, entering month two of the most publicized, traumatic, and emotionally and mentally draining experience I've ever encountered in my entire career. The bank failed, and I lost my role at FRB. The 1.5 years I spent at FRB were truly amazing! However, when the bank collapsed, the entire recruiting team, including myself, was eliminated, along with many other departments and incredibly talented individuals. So, what's next? I have to keep moving forward and keep the following in mind. I will continue filling out job applications, fully aware that 96% of the time, those applications will result in rejection letters. There will be no explanations as to why I didn't get the chance to show them who I am and why I would be a great fit for their organization. There will be no guidance, emails, or even conversations with actual human beings. At this point in my search, I hope that someone will give me the chance for that one role that may finally get me noticed and invest in me as a part of their team. Here's what I've gathered through this process and journey. 1. The rejection letters are automated, and none of them have taken a glance at who they're rejecting or why. 2. They are missing out on exceptional talent, and that is their loss. 3. My time is too precious to be upset over being overlooked, considering there are over 500 applicants ahead of me in the same boat, applying for the same role, making my chances even slimmer to be considered. 4. There is a person and company out there that will see me, hear me, and allow me to showcase my skills and talent. They will ultimately give me the chance to prove my value as an outstanding candidate who will contribute to their overall organizational success. 5. Everything is bound to work out, and timing is everything. So, not being in the winner's circle at the moment will not discourage me but rather push me harder to find the right fit in my next move. Thank you all for the support during these challenging times. Navigating through this situation has been difficult, but please keep me and everyone else in the same position as myself in your thoughts. When the opportunity arises for you to make that next hire, take a chance on that person. Furthermore, if you know someone who would be fortunate to have your network or benefit from an opportunity that you hold the key to in their next big break, connect them with each other. We would all be lucky to know you and your referrals.

Someone HIRED me with ZERO work experience I have never worked in this specific Tech role I was trying to break into Tech, and I had the skill set they were looking for in a candidate. This company believed my can-do attitude and willingness to learn new things would serve me well in the Tech corporate world. So they took a chance on me. As a result, I ended up being promoted. Entry-level professionals and career switchers need a chance. Agree? #jobseekers #careers #hiringandpromotion
