Learnings from Squad Busters' Mobile Pre-Registration Masterclass 30M pre-reg! (so far) - create a strong free incentive (skin + deco + emote) - incentives help get the platforms excited to promote...build these relationships early and leverage at key moments - foster your early community - involve them as much as possible (yes Supercell's existing community is a cheat code, but Supercell has an excellent community team who you can learn from) - frequent updates to drive FOMO heading into launch - geo locked beta enables creators at any scale to easily create content and drive excitement with their audience - keep the timeline relatively short so the buzz doesn't wear off (weeks not months) - in my experience the most pre-registrations will come in the first week and last week... With a May 29th global launch, Squad Busters could achieve > 40M pre-registrations!

Explosive growth is every startup’s dream. We give our all to surpass the survival stage 💪 But here’s the stark truth about success: 📈The larger you become, the tougher it becomes. At Gametime, we've witnessed 28 straight months of 40%+ growth, with the peak month achieving 163% growth. It's fantastic news, but maintaining that pace is a monumental challenge. More people, more volume, and more attention puts heavy pressure on the platform 🏋️ To keep up with this growth, we’re implementing new tools. But marrying large-scale operations with new technologies creates an immensely demanding environment 🛠️ I’m profoundly grateful for Gametime's success. These new challenges don't discourage our team; they ignite us. More growth means more people sharing the experience of live entertainment. Yet, as a founder, I've had to reframe my expectations around success: Success doesn't simplify your job; it’s the opportunity to take on bigger challenges.

That was me after yesterday's Pitch&Beers At Appinio, it's common to challenge your understanding of the product, market research, and USPs. The session begins with a 20-30 minute role-playing exercise followed by an engaging Q&A involving all colleagues. It truly was an emotional rollercoaster I really enjoyed! Here are my key takeaways: ✍ Practice over theory: The practical exercises proved invaluable, highlighting the gap between theory and real-world application. 🔍 Valuable feedback: The candid feedback from my colleagues was not only constructive but also served as a genuine source of motivation for self-improvement. 📈 Embracing vulnerability: Presenting in front of others and the prospect of making mistakes can be truly challenging. However, genuine growth lies beyond our comfort zones. 🍀 Thriving through challenges: Despite the discomfort, confronting new challenges provided fertile ground for personal and professional development. 🙏 Special thanks to my colleagues Janina Hamelau, Tiziano Gennari & Jonas Rebmann-Christensen who prepared me for this session and to all my colleagues who joined and shared their honest feedback about my performance with me.
