I have came across a scenario where we want to bypass validation rule to some of the users. So we have solution to it where we can use a custom settings add the users in the setting and reference it to the validation rule. Now there is some other way around to achieve this by creating a custom permission and referencing it to validation rule then assign this custom permission to a permission set and at last assigning the permission set to the users. Hence it will be a very time consuming process. Though it can be directly resolved by assigning custom permission to a user instead going via permission set. This feature is currently in development and in beta testing you can upvote this if you like it. #salesforce #crm #salesforceadmin #data #validation #ai #feature #security #release #appexchange #idea

Salesforce World Tour is a highlight reel of what not to do as a marketer. While I browse the booths of 50 or so vendors, I have no idea what they do. The problem is none of them TELL ME what they do for me. I look at their booth and their sign and I’m clueless if they can help me. There’s nothing to draws me in (well maybe a free notebook). All they need to do is add “by…” at the end. Here are a few examples: “Empowering trusted AI and data” “Get the future you want” “Revenue lifecycle intelligence” The list goes on and on. Just adding “by xyz” would make it so much more impactful. Given marketing probably created the booths, you’d think that would know they should communicate to the customer what’s in it for the customer.

Do you need to publish your package on AppExchange? If your app is completely free and you do it for marketing purposes - then there are no downsides, just go for it :) But if you plan to make money off your package, consider the following points: 1️⃣ You’ll share 15% of the package income with Salesforce. Even if you distribute the package through different channels, these 15% apply there as well. 2️⃣ $1000 fee for a security review attempt A really helpful article on the AppExchange Security Review Fees (https://lnkd.in/dRuuJPcn) 3️⃣ Your package idea shouldn’t compete with Salesforce products. Otherwise, you obviously won’t get the green light 4️⃣ Your pricing model should align with Salesforce (check it out here https://lnkd.in/dg-gPEgq) Good to know that License Management will be way easier through AppExchange, than without.
