Hi everyone, just a reminder that if you are on Salesforce Summer 24 which everyone should be now, email verfication is now enforced for your end users. Certain end users may get an error stating "INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS: User does not have a verified email address". I know this is highlighted on the Salesforce Support Banner right now as well. Here is a link to how to rectify and who is impacted: https://lnkd.in/gmgvzGWG #salesforce #summer24

PSA for #awesomeadmins and #flownatics of the Salesforce ohana: If your org just went through Summer '24 release, and you have tons of email notification Flows, and all of a sudden some users can't get the emails through these notifications, look no further than to see if their emails are verified. Users with unverified emails cannot launch any automated emails starting Summer '24. https://lnkd.in/gAc-PmM5

Today, I discovered an amazing functionality in Gmail that allows you to generate different email addresses from your existing one. In Gmail, you can append a "+" followed by any text of your choice before the "@" symbol in your email address. For example, if your email is "example@gmail.com," you can create variations like "example+sales@gmail.com" or "example+newsletter@gmail.com." The Magic is , Gmail ignores anything after the "+" sign and delivers the email to your original inbox. So, emails sent to "example+sales@gmail.com" and "example@gmail.com" will both land in your inbox. This functionality is incredibly useful in Salesforce for several reasons: 1) When creating new user accounts in Salesforce, you can use Gmail aliasing to generate unique email addresses for each user. This allows you to maintain a single Gmail account for all user communications while ensuring that each user has a distinct email address for authentication and communication within Salesforce. 2) Salesforce offers permission sets to grant specific permissions and access to users. By using Gmail aliasing, you can assign permission sets to users based on their email variations. For example, users with email addresses ending in "+admin@gmail.com" could be assigned administrative permission sets, while others may have standard user permissions. 3) Within Salesforce, you can configure email alerts and notifications for various events and activities. By using Gmail aliasing, you can direct specific alerts and notifications to designated email variations. For instance, critical system alerts could be sent to "admin+alerts@gmail.com," while task notifications may be directed to "admin+tasks@gmail.com." #salesforce #salesforcedevelopers #salesforceadmin #astreait #trailhead #gmail #google #learn #journey2salesforce #salesforceadministrator

Salesforce tip of the day: When creating a flow on Email Messages, I've always set it to trigger on creation only. However, if you're sending emails from Cases AND "Enable Email Drafts" is selected in Support Settings: 1-You probably want to add a condition on the Email Message Status (for outbound emails) so the flow doesn't trigger when saving as draft (Note: The API names of Email Message statuses are numbers, please check: https://lnkd.in/eRHRVvX4) 2-If you added a condition on Status for outbound emails that are not in draft/are sent, your flow needs to trigger on Create and update, not Create only

Ever wondered what a simple "Thank you" could cost an organization? We have. For our most recent client, we got a very specific answer. It costs $12,000 per year in extra data storage costs to store thank you emails. Our client presented themselves with 1.3 million email messages consuming 85 GB of data storage (significantly past their data storage allotment and paying for the pleasure). Our Email Scrubber app and audit process identified and freed over 21 GB of useless redundant email messages. To our amazement, we identified 65,000 emails (or 4.26 GB of data storage) related to thank you emails. Don't let unnecessary emails take up valuable data storage space and resources. Consider a free audit from Sproket Logic. #salesforce #emailscrubber

Spring '24 Improvements to Email-to-Case. The default character limit for the email body fields (Text Body and HTML Body) has been increased from 32,000 to 131,072. Pros: More storage available. Cons: More storage available. If your data storage is already being devoured by Email Messages, it might be time to fight back Email Scrubber. https://lnkd.in/esTcX-ky #salesforce #salesforceadministrator
