Hello - Week of July 4th and I am going into the deep ai rabbit hole trying and testing all sorts of tools. Today, I want to focus on Perplexity vs. ChatGPT4 and Claudeai....if you're like me you are always on the hunt for greater efficiency and accuracy in search without giving up thoroughness. I want it to answer my questions and provide the right output. I have to say - Perplexity is pretty awesome and is becoming my go-to for search. I gave up CPU tools (google search) a while back and I think this trend will continue as more people shift to GPU search. Weiss prediction - trouble in Google land ahead. Here is a comparison with help from the GPTs: Real-time Web Access: Perplexity AI: Yes ChatGPT: Limited (GPT-4 with web browsing) Claude AI: No Source Citations: Perplexity AI: Provided with every response ChatGPT: Not provided Claude AI: Not provided Context Window: Perplexity AI: Up to 100k tokens ChatGPT: Varies (4k-32k tokens) Claude AI: Up to 100k tokens Specialization: Perplexity AI: Focused on factual accuracy and search ChatGPT: Versatile, excels in creative tasks Claude AI: Strong in analysis and summarization Why I am digging Perplexity... I get relevant answers without extensive scrolling through search results. I get cited sources to use for client presentations. I get real-time web access so I have the most current data for trend analysis. I can crush the query box for in-depth market research (it's huge). Perplexity is unbiased - results aren't influenced by ad placements. What tools are you using? What works best for your searches? Love to hear from ya.

Does paid Perplexity, in your experience, include decent data analysis, memories, and save tone or style for text editing? I’ve licensed ChatGPT and I’m mostly pleased but do question accuracy and where it gets it’s data.

Pro Tip: Use Perplexity Pro and switch from Perplexity's default model to Claude 3.5 Sonnet in the settings. Best of all worlds.

Nice assessment. Also, don’t sleep on Copilot.

thanks for sharing. I mostly use textcortex. Their platform is highly customizable and they even have a marketplace to share customizations with more than 1000 templates, personas and knowledge bases

Great assessment. Huge fan of Perplexity and have used chatGPT4o for quite a while. I need to dig into Claude. Haven't used it much. Same with Gemini beyond a couple of initial test questions.
