Let's take a moment to look at the innovation and #VC horizon in #Europe last quarter. While #Europe was the only major region that invested more in 2023 than 2019, the region is still significantly lagging behind Asia (by over 44%) and North America (over 169%). Even more worrying is the fact that 30% of the European VC is concentrated in one country: UK. Do you believe this long-term trend means that EU would lag behind its competitors, or are European investors more #efficient with their venture investments? While the wider consensus favours the former hypothesis, data shows the latter may also be true, especially given that investments flow towards three major sectors: renewable energy, automotive/mobility and healthcare - which shows focus and vision.
