During the hiring process, why do so many companies communicate like they’re playing a kid’s telephone game where details get lost between people? Not hearing back from employers (or hearing back several months later) is sadly somewhat commonplace. In fact, the 2022 North American Candidate Experience Benchmark Research Report stated that 34% of candidates waited two or more months on the next steps after applying. It’s understandable to assume a ‘no’ after that much time, right? This really needs to stop if companies want to hire and retain the best employees. Businesses need a communication plan for the hiring process. It needs to be simplistic, easy to follow, and easy to implement. Want to learn how? Check out Jodi Brandstetter’s chapter in... One-size-fits-all - we all fall for it. Is it easy? Of course. Effective? Not at all. Tailoring takes effort. But it pays off. Better engagement, better results. In short: One-size-fits-none. Job Seekers: 1) Avoid generic resumes. 2) Research companies. 3) Show how you fit. Recruiters: 1) Make your outreach relevant. 2) Invest time to stand out. 3) Build connections. Seek relevance. Going beyond the generic, That's where success lies.

People stories are recruitment marketing GOLD. Why? There's nothing future talent trusts more than the words of your current people. Stories from your people will shape your employer brand more than any statements from your company or your CEO. People want to hear from the coworkers they'll be working alongside every day. People stories a great talent attraction tool, but they'll also do wonders for your current team. Sharing stories will make your people feel proud of their contributions, and when you share these stories internally and externally, you'll be amazed at the response from their colleagues. Win-win, right? Here's how your business can win through storytelling: https://lnkd.in/g3rWistY #Storytelling #RecruitmentMarketing #TalentAttraction
