What should be the approach to legal risks? When I am asked to consider a client's legal risks I find it helpful to compile a risk register which identifies the legal risks and then considers these in the context of the appetite for risk. This would then allow for risks to be categorized and scored and in turn assist in deciding what risk mitigation actions, if any, should be taken and how much resources should be applied.
