It's Floor Plan Friday, and Dan is sharing his favorite today! 👏🏡 Favorite Floor Plan: The Olympia Our Olympia is a visually attractive house, but what makes it my favorite floor plan is its versatility, efficiency, and functionality. We have three different elevation styles (traditional, contemporary, and modern) for the Olympia, each making the house look completely different from the other options. With each exterior design option comes changes on the interior like window size and color, fireplace design and placement, and ceiling vaults. 😍 For having only 2,100 square feet the Olympia manages to squeeze so many rooms without feeling crowded. In fact, we often hear feedback from people that the Olympia feels much larger than it actually is. The tall doors and ceilings help to expand the house without enlarging its footprint. Every inch of space is thoughtfully designed to minimize waste and maximize utility. The Olympia is also very livable. Its 3-car garage provides plenty of room for parking and storage. The entry and common areas are very roomy and impressive. The butler pantry is a handy extension of the kitchen, the pocket office provides a quiet place for work or study, the many closets allow everything to be put away in its place, and the pass-thru laundry room offers convenient access into the master suite. 🙌 It’s no surprise that the Olympia is a popular floor plan for various ages and family sizes because efficiently meets so many needs. #RiverwoodHomes #BuiltByRiverwood

A Cabinetry Service that's Perfect for the Period and Historic Property. One of my greatest pleasures is working with old and historic properties. Yes; modern looking furniture (which we often do) can work within an old building context, providing an effective - old vs new - visual contrast. However, we do love the challenge of producing a home office / study solution that echoes a buildings interior - architectural fabric; as was the case with this particular commission. This home office integrated everything the client wanted, in terms of desk size, bookcases and shelved cupboard storage whilst bespoke design details such as the raised and fielded door style, cornice, skirting, reeded columns matched design cues that could be seen elsewhere in the property. Naturally, everything was produced to the exact proportions of the room. The overall solution included matching, oak - wainscot panelling and a fireplace surround (out of shot). The result? A home study that answered the homeowners practical, every day working requirements whist creating the feel that it had always been a part of the property.
