The page load speed for apps built on Bubble.io is not the best in the business, but they are working on it. The last months they released a couple of experimental features to increase this speed and yesterday they released another one. It is called 'Run-mode page-load optimization' and prevents memory from being allocated for hidden elements. Go to Settings - Versions and mark 'Run-mode page-load optimization' active to activate the feature. Be warned, it is experimental so things might break (report bugs -> https://lnkd.in/ezpCUvmN). [ Site loading time ⚔ 3rd party apps ] Tradeoffs: ✅ Getting metrics about one's eCommerce site is very helpful 🧐 But the apps that gather them can introduce delays for visitors ❎ Visitors leave sites that take long to load ~ how big of a problem is it, actually? Came across a great blog post (by Colleen Trinkaus at Yottaa), my summary: 1_ ~50 third-party apps (oof) are running on eCommerce pages (from analysis of over 650) 2_ Their performance was benchmarked: Green, yellow, Red? // by Yottaa, using a metric they call PIR, calculated as == ( page delay violations + performance risk violations) / resources loaded 3_ Red scoring apps have a 115ms impact on a page's LCP (largest contentful paint) (!!!) 4_ is +115ms a lot? here's a battle Plan for your phone : 1. set screen time limits. Control this monster that's devouring your time by setting time limits on your phone. 2. Grayscale mode on your phone. Keep your phone's screen colors boring so you're not tempted to constantly check it. 3. Disable non-emergency notifications. Turn off unnecessary notifications that are grabbing your attention. 4. Delete time-wasting apps. Delete apps that aren't adding value to your life. 5. Set time limits for specific apps. Set fixed time limits for your favorite apps like Instagram or YouTube. 6. Most importantly, Create physical distance. Stay away from your phone when you don't need it. Don't carry it with you all the time.

How to go from idea to releasing your app faster? 0. Use a template, create the best modules and services for things that you always need: Analytics, Login, Logger, Payments, and so on. 1. Send it for review on the first week and 2 weeks before the launch, don't try to add extra things, just send it for TestFlight and Play Store Internal Testing. 2. Create a CD, you don't want to spend time manually on it, Codemagic and other tools can do the work for you, so use it. 3. Test it, don't let your first users find the errors, find and fix them. Just ask someone to test it for you, they can always find bugs. 4. Feedback, your app won't scale if you don't listen to your customers, they will guide you.
