#OurStateFarm can help you turn your #retail experience into #entrepreneurship! See State Farm Agent James Anhorn's story below. Wouldn't you like to be a #GoodNeighbor too? #careeropportunity #careermove #careerchange James Anhorn, MBA
With previous experience in retail, James Anhorn has always enjoyed helping people find the right solution for their needs. When a recruiter contacted James about becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent, he knew this career was the perfect fit. "The two most important things in my life are my family and being a State Farm agent. My beautiful wife, Grissel, and I have two boys — thanks to the agent opportunity, we now have the flexibility to visit our families in the United States and Mexico any time, something I wasn't able to do working in retail." In addition to the flexibility, James values the benefits of the community-centric lifestyle the agent opportunity provides to him and his family. "Educating customers about the importance of proper insurance coverage has been a huge blessing, and I'm grateful I can be involved in the community with my boys by my side. I get to set an example and show them what being a Good Neighbor looks like — I hope to continue this for many years to come!" Pictured here is a recent make-safe job completed for a Western Australia based insurance builder. The major challenges with this contract: 🌲 The tree consisted of three major trunks, one of which had already collapsed, crushing gardens, fences and partially landing in the flooded waterway at the rear of the property. 🌲 The remaining standing tree was approaching 25 metres in height and was unstable, threatening both the insured property and a very lateral section completely overhanging neighbouring properties. 🌲 The trunks converged to a very large 2.5m diameter lower trunk. 🌲 Restricted access. Solution: ➡ Enviro arranged comparative quotations from 3 Tree Partners to separately assess & quote this job. Our proprietary system, Tree Manager™, holds all compliance information on Tree Partners which enabled us to swiftly identify those who were fully compliant, closest to the job & who were competent for a job of this complexity. ➡ Enviro liaised directly with the insured property owner as well as neighbours to arrange access for inspection & discuss potential access for work crews (very restricted access prevented crane use). ➡ Access to remove timber & tree waste was extremely difficult, it was decided that dismantling was necessary as to not create more damage to numerous properties & to reduce the amount of timber falling in the watercourse. ➡ Remaining stumps were cut & ground to below-ground height. Our Tree Partner, who attended the job, summed it up nicely: ”A job I’m proud to have completed which was highly physically demanding required numerous techniques and tactics (which changed along the way), problem-solving, and determination. Looking forward to the next one…” #envirotrees #envirotreesau #makesafe #treepartner #facilitiesmaintenance #facilitiesmanagement Phil Wheeler Peter Dubiez Kylie Dubiez Greg Johnson Anthea Gilmore John Studdert Jorden P.
