Love4Life empowers individuals with learning disabilities and autism to make friends and find love. They host workshops and events including themed discos, bowling, restaurant visits, and games nights. This is complemented by one-to-one support. 87% of workshop attendees said skills learned help them to be more independent. Statutory adult social care services are shrinking, with 42% of existing members not receiving any statutory support. Unsurprisingly, demand for Love4Life’s support is skyrocketing, but their IT infrastructure is hindering their growth. Love4Life will use our funding to revamp their website and implement a CRM system to upscale their impact and reach in underserved communities. It will also support enhanced fundraising efforts. What is Pan Am Place? Pan Am Place is a lifeline for young men between the ages of 18-29 who find themselves at a crossroads in life. Established in 2013, this registered charity in the heart of Winnipeg’s Exchange District offers a unique blend of support, guidance, and opportunity to homeless and at-risk young men. ✅ A Home: At Pan Am Place, residents find a safe and nurturing environment, a stark contrast to the instability and challenges they've faced. It's a place where they can reset, rebuild, and re-envision their lives. ✅ A Holistic Approach: Pan Am Place believes in the power of a holistic approach to rehabilitation and growth. This includes providing housing and food, coupled with access to educational and occupational resources. But, it doesn't stop there. ✅ Empowerment Through Fitness and Volunteering: Every resident participates in fitness routines and commits to a minimum number of volunteer hours weekly. These activities are crucial for building self-esteem, improving social skills, and reducing stress and aggression. ✅ Fostering Independence: Their ultimate goal is to help these young men become independent and contributing members of society. We've witnessed remarkable transformations, with many of our residents moving on to lead fulfilling, stable lives. ✅ A Community Effort: Pan Am Place thrives on community support and involvement. Pan Am Place is not just a charity; they're a testament to what can be achieved when compassion and action come together. Pan Am Place isn’t a shelter; it’s a starting point for a new chapter in life. It's where hope is restored, and futures are shaped. It's a home. On November 29th, 2023, our staff will be spending the night in Pan Am Place's back ally to raise funding for the organization. Stable housing is crucial for businesses and for the people who depend on these businesses for their survival and well-being. The housing issue affects staple jobs in our community, including nurses, teachers, firefighters, and many industries that are essential - people who, in the past, would have little trouble finding a place to live in Bend. As your Chamber, we are leading the development and implementation of initiatives that will bring more affordable housing to our local workforce. But we can't do it alone. Would you consider making a tax-deductible donation today to support workforce housing? Click here to find out more or to donate: https://zurl.co/UoAD

Did you know that the free, online magazine @Autistic Revolution is run by unpaid volunteers? Thanks to donations, we have had help to pay the monthly costs in running this resource. We have put in for charity status (and so fingers crossed for more stable financial support) but in the meantime, I'd like to share the magazine's Just Giving page. Thanks so much and we look forward to sharing issue 3 with you soon :) - - - ID. An image with teal background. At top and in white is 'Just Giving Fundraiser'. There is a black band in the middle with the Autistic Revolution name in gold and swirls in blue, green and orange. #neurodiversity #disability

You can help change these stats. https://bit.ly/45AV6P9 What happens online impacts your everyday life, your offline life. Over half of non-binary teens reported experiencing cyberbullying in the past year, compared to 25% of their peers aged 12 to 17. This rate is too high and it has real-life consequences. You can donate now to support programs that are actively creating safe spaces for teens in this digital era: https://bit.ly/45AV6P9 #MentalHealth #BackToSchool

Co-founder&Director at Path Youth Organization||Seasoned Program Manager||Youth Development Practitioner||Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist||Educationist
Over years since co-founding Path Youth Organisation, I have learnt alot that about leadership, especially as a young person leading fellow young people. As a young person leading a team of young people, I've learnt it's important to understand that leadership is not about age, but rather about the ability to inspire and motivate others. Being a young leader can be challenging, but it can also be incredibly rewarding. One of the most important things that I've always kept in mind when leading this team of young people is to lead by example. This means being a role model for your team, setting a positive tone, and demonstrating the behaviors and values that you expect from your team members. Another key aspect of leading a team of young people that I've gained is to be a good listener. Young people have unique perspectives and ideas, and it's important to create an environment where they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and opinions. By listening to my team members, I gain valuable insights and ideas that can help you make better decisions and achieve your goals. Finally, it's important to be flexible and adaptable as a young leader. Young people are often full of energy and creativity, and they may have different ways of approaching problems or tasks. By being open to new ideas and approaches, I create a more dynamic and innovative team that is better equipped to tackle challenges and achieve success. I am happy to and glad to be leading Path Youth Organisation.
Appreciation to everyone at Path Youth Organization. The members of Path Youth Organisation are an inspiration to many people with their hard work and dedication to the community. They have accomplished so much over the years, from organizing community events to working with children and youth. Their work has made a real difference in the lives of so many people. We would like to encourage everyone to support Path Youth Organization in any way they can. Whether you volunteer, donate, or simply spread the word about the great work they do, every little bit helps. Thank you again to everyone at Path Youth Organization for all that you do. You are making the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time! #transforminglives #education #sdg4
