Our #patient care rankings are steadily increasingly each year, and everyone plays a role in this. If you aren’t a physician, your participation matters as well. While reputational votes are important, what’s even more important are key quality outcomes, like mortality, 30-day readmissions, and hospital-acquired infections. Quality & Operations Management | Health Systems Specialist | CX Experience |Committed to Empowering Healthcare Systems, Financing, and Governance
🌟 Reflecting on my experience running an outpatient department serving over 1,000 patients a day amid a doctors' strike 🌟 At our hospital, we believe in the power of healing and the importance of compassionate care. Recently, we faced the unique challenge of providing medical services during a doctors' strike. Here are some lessons we learned along the way: 1. Effective Communication: Keeping patients informed about changes in services and availability was crucial. Clear, consistent updates helped manage expectations and maintain trust. 2. Prioritization of Care: We prioritized care based on the severity of patients' conditions, ensuring those with urgent needs were seen first. 3. Teamwork and Collaboration: Our team banded together, sharing tasks and responsibilities to provide the best possible care. 4. Holistic Care: We addressed patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, offering prayer and counseling alongside medical care. 5. Patient Education: We empowered patients with information on self-care and available alternatives for minor ailments. Despite the challenges, our team’s dedication and commitment to our mission has shone through. Together, we were able to navigate this difficult time and continue serving our patients with care and compassion. #WetreatJesusheals #HealthcareHeroes #CompassionateCare #HealthcareChallenges #FaithBasedCare
