This journey shapes our perspective, marking a transformation in how we assess gain and loss. It is an intellectual, psychological, and spiritual voyage filled with challenges, where one navigates through mistakes and successes, eventually reaching a point of balance, integrity, and truth. #Best2Traders #JourneyOfHonor #SelfReflection #Integrity #LifeConvictions #PersonalGrowth #PsychologicalGrowth #GainAndLoss #TruthAndIntegrity

For everything in this journey of life we are on, there is a right wing and a left wing: for the wing of love there is anger; for the wing of destiny there is fear; for the wing of pain there is healing; for the wing of hurt there is forgiveness; for the wing of pride there is humility; for the wing of giving there is taking; for the wing of tears there is joy; for the wing of rejection there is acceptance; for the wing of judgment there is grace; for the wing of honor there is shame; for the wing of letting go there is the wing of keeping. We can only fly with two wings and two wings can only stay in the air if there is a balance. Two beautiful wings is perfection. There is a generation of people who idealize perfection as the existence of only one of these wings every time. But I see that a bird with one wing is imperfect. An angel with one wing is imperfect. A butterfly with one wing is dead. So this generation of people strive to always cut off the other wing in the hopes of embodying their ideal of perfection, and in doing so, have created a crippled race. C. JoyBell C.

Sunday reflections: 1. Morning Coffee and Real Newspapers: There’s something magical about sipping coffee while flipping through an actual newspaper. The tactile experience of touching, feeling, and turning the pages connects us to a slower, more deliberate pace—a welcome contrast to our modern digital lives. 2. Doubts and Authentic Relationships: Today’s sermon centered around doubts and the profound value of authentic relationships. Grounded in Luke 24, the message was simple: “Peace be with you.” As we navigate life, the challenge is to cultivate the habit of asking ourselves: “Does this choice align with the life I’m intentionally creating?” 3. Remembering Abraham Lincoln: On this anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, it's a time to honor his legacy. His tireless pursuit of a more perfect union inspires me. Yet, it is so easy to fall into the trap of waiting for perfection before taking action. Progress often requires imperfect steps forward. 4. Rainy-Day Reading - while the laundry is tumbling - reading Charles Pinckney's "America's Unique Structure Of Freedom" from May 14, 1788. I'm glad I can worship in freedom - and my neighbor can choose or not choose to as well - and we can still live in peace. Wherever you are today, may you stay dry, keep cool, and embrace the day and week ahead. 🌧️#WinTheDay

"HE WILL HOLD ME FAST" BY MATT-Q https://lnkd.in/gwFwyv89 "He Will Hold Me Fast" was originally written by Ada Ruth Habershon, a British hymn writer, in 1906. The music was composed by Robert Harkness, an Australian-born evangelist and musician. Shane and Shane, a popular Christian music duo, adapted the hymn, releasing their version in 2014 on their album "The Worship Initiative, Vol. 1." . The hymn was intended to provide comfort and assurance of God's steadfastness and faithfulness. It is vital to know the HISTORICAL CONTEXT of faith as well. This song underscores the essence of the Christian faith and the good news aka Gospel, that salvation is solely by faith in Christ and can never be earned by one's good works and self improvement efforts, which in itself, is already deeply offensive to the self-made individual who prides himself or herself as being the master of his/her destiny. A study of church history reveals how the understanding and.appropriation of the Word of God through the Scriptures has led to great ramifications in the lives of many as one will live one's life in accordance with what one believes. Much as the faith extols the overwhelming grace, mercy and sovereignty of God in saving us, it does not negate personal responsibility, accountability and working hard in dependence on the One Who has saved and continues to save those whom He has called. An unhealthy overemphasis on both ends of the spectrum leads to a theology of 'cheap grace' where one EITHER uses salvation as a 'passport' for getting to Heaven and the false assurance that one can live life anyway one likes without considering the consequences OR one reduces the faith to a set of human efforts of self improvement and 'moral choices' 'where God helps those who help themselves', which undermines the futility of one's efforts to save oneself. It then leads to believers becoming very legalistic OR very callous in the outworking of one's faith; both of which actually do not accurately reflect the holistic and wholesome balanced application of the good news aka the Gospel, which is why it is important to check, reflect, ponder and countercheck what one believes in. #hewillholdmefast #christian #christ #shaneandshane #gospel #matthewqueksingapore

“Every end is a beginning.” Julia Cameron “You cannot suffer the past or future because they do not exist. What you are suffering is your memory and imagination.” Sadhguru via Ron White. Every end is a beginning in two ways. Endings are a reflection of a beginning in memory that is now present. It is the anchoring of our imagination in that which is now present. It is the present that bridges our memories and our imagination. A key attribute to our stewardship of our present is the skillset of framing it. How we frame our present makes all the difference. It is the understanding and prioritizing the road less traveled practically and specifically for the gift of who we are in the context of Truth. It is our ability to be a kingmaker for our minds. What is a kingmaker? It is the person, the ability to set the stage for the king to shine in their fullest form. It’s the fluency in understanding the “stage.” Though he was shrouded in brokenness and unhealthiness, the Colonel was an Olympian in king-making. He understood how to set the stage and give people what they truly wanted. He was the secret ingredient in the phenomenon we call Elvis. Our memories and our imagination set the stage for our present moment. How we steward them makes all the difference in what we call today.
