One big mistake I see founders make that they should avoid during their pitches: They try to fit in every single possible selling point to the investor. Especially on the first call, this is not necessary. You should really hammer home only 1-2 main points, 3 MAX if it is super strong. Any more and the investor will not remember what you want them to when they leave the call.
