So many get the two confused. Moisture happens when your strands are deeply penetrated by your moisturizing product of choice.  As a result of this, it can produce shine.  However, moisturized hair does not ALWAYS shine.  Just because your hair does not shine does not mean that it is not moisturized, especially true for kinkier textures. On the flip side, just because your hair has shine does not mean that it is properly moisturized.  Shine can be falsely given by using silicones.  This is why when most naturals use silicone filled products they soon find out that their hair is still dry and not moisturized. Silicones can have their place but when it comes to moisture it can be smoke and mirrors so use wisely! 💚 #strandsoffaith
