Mantl Health's technology team is always evaluating new technologies, such as generative AI. Generative AI is powerful but does suffer from some problems such as hallucinating (producing inaccurate results that may appear true). The FAVES principle mentioned in this article is effective for tempering early adoption of technologies to a safe pace. This allows for powerful innovation while keeping a narrow focus, and promoting the implementation of strong control systems to protect against unwanted and potentially dangerous side effects.

At #ViVE24, health systems showcased how they're leveraging AI to enhance patient care and reduce costs. From generating documentation to developing chatbots, the applications are vast. One notable example was AI-powered clinical decision support systems, which can analyze vast amounts of patient data to identify patterns and recommend optimal treatment plans, potentially leading to improved outcomes.
