I have seen quite a number of entry level jobs as described by employers with ridiculous expectations of experience. The last one I got was about 5+ years experience as an entry job, C'mon!! Give entry level applicants a try, even better when trained and why better? Because they know where they came from, how challenging it was to get a job and would do anything best to keep the job. GIVE ENTRY LEVEL APPLICANTS A CHANCE!! They got the spirit for adaptation and would do best under training and good supervision, that's where experience can be built but without an actual job, how would they be experienced enough or fit for a position.

Entry level jobs must require 0 years of experience. Not 2 years. Not even 1 year. The whole point of entry level jobs is to kickstart one's career based on their potential and not on their experience.

An Entry Level Job Requiring a 2 year Experience: What! Please stop asking entry level job candidates to possess prior experience, becausee it just does not make any sense. The main reason it is called an “entry level” vacancy is because it does not require experience, so kindly, for professionalism sake, stop doing this.

Entry level jobs should not require any experience. None at all. There are too many roles that have unrealistic expectations for individuals to have 2-5 years of experience. Please be realistic before putting this in the job description. #diversifyrecuritmentgroup #entrylevelroles

Stop the madness! Please do not use "entry level" for your job posting and then list 3-5 years experience performing those tasks & skills in your "requirements"! Instead do this... Either- A. -Post the job at its appropriate level (associate, mid-level, etc), with commensurate pay for having that experience and skills. -OR- B. -Post the job for entry level, listing the skills, certifications, etc., needed to succeed in it (with no job experience), and be willing to bring on an otherwise wonderfully qualified candidate. Then, you can pay them as entry level & your company can be the place where they gain that experience. Both A & B are valid options, determined by the company's needs and expectations... BUT you can't have it both ways 🤓 #careers

Entry level jobs should NOT "require" or "preferably have " experience. The purpose behind entry level jobs is to give an individual the opportunity to learn a new skill set. Nowadays, many managers are unwilling to train new hires and have unrealistic expectations for them, therefore the failure rate is often high.

Entry-level jobs mean ZERO experience—none. Not one year, not two, not three. You should be ready to train new hires, giving them the skills they need to succeed. We need to return to this standard practice. That’s what entry-level means. But you know that. You want to pay people with experience entry-level pay. On behalf of all jobseekers, we will not be applying to your job.

This is spot on! Employers must remember that "entry-level" means giving fresh graduates or career changers a chance. It's about providing training and growth opportunities, not expecting them to have years of experience already. #EntryLevel #JobSeekers

Entry-level jobs often present a paradoxical challenge for job seekers. While they are intended to serve as a gateway into the professional world, many of these positions demand prior experience, creating a frustrating catch-22 for fresh graduates or individuals transitioning into new industries. The increasing prevalence of this experience conundrum can lead to a lack of opportunities for those just starting their careers. Additionally, the often modest pay associated with entry-level roles can make it difficult for young professionals to meet their financial needs, potentially leading to a cycle of limited growth and upward mobility. Addressing these issues requires a balance between employer expectations and the recognition that genuine learning opportunities and potential should be at the core of entry-level positions.
