New Post: Blue Line up and froze due to some wire woes -Right in the middle of the evening rush, the Blue Line came to a sudden stop when it developed what the MBTA called a “catenary problem.” Bustitution started up between Bowdoin and Suffolk Downs and continued into the night. Multfam Cam reported at 7:28 p.m.: Avoid the Blue Line at all costs tonight. Absolute shit... Right in the middle of the evening rush, the Blue Line came to a sudden stop when it developed what the MBTA called a "catenary problem." Bustitution started up between Bowdoin and Suffolk Downs and continued into the night. Multfam Cam reported at 7:28 p.m.: Avoid the Blue Line at all costs tonight. Absolute shit show at Airport. Waited for a shuttle toward Bowdoin for 25 minutes, one came and dropped off about 100 yards away where no one was waiting, then nothing else. Guy on the walkie-talkie had no idea what was going on. Some busses are just sitting there, idling, driver doesn’t know where he’s going or when he’s leaving. Embarrassing even for the MBTA. Source link

"The first guy through the wall, always gets bloody." -Moneyball I've loved this movie since the day I set foot on the Yale School of Management campus (helps that a Yale economist thought up the theory studied around the world). I've applied it in at least 100 ways since those days, & now I'm bringing it to welding after a year of doing nothing but studying, taking classes & deep research/discovery. It may be 400,000 welders we need by 2030, but let's Moneyball those stats. Riddle on this: 84 welding colleges & technical schools currently in the US 42,490 degrees &/or certificates awarded each year $24,000 average cost of a 400+ hour, 6 month general program 90,000 NEW welding jobs need to be filled each year by 2030 to keep up with demand (not advanced positions for existing welders in the ecosystem) The onboard system/ramp into the employer ecosystem is key. We may be cooking something to supplement (not replace) existing schools in an expedited ramp to employers. So we will run through that wall. 🎇 Coming June 2024 w/partners who are never afraid to stand on said wall. (Grin).
