Our Pride Employee Resource Group celebrated Pride Month with vibrant activities, including sharing favorite songs and moments, a thoughtful discussion on the film "Kiki," and a fireside chat about the Kinsey Scale and allyship. Teammates also gained valuable insights from a presentation on "Exploring LGBTQ and Intersectionality and Mental Health." In addition, teammates enjoyed PRIDE baked goods in the Denver office and our very own John Markowski competed in the Atlanta Pride 5K! Thank you to everyone who participated and made this month special! #PrideMonth #LGBTQ #Inclusion #Pride2024 #teammodivcare #MODV

Pride Month: Let's Celebrate Inclusion and Reject Discrimination! As we celebrate Pride Month, let's acknowledge the struggles the LGBTQ+ community still faces, including homophobia and transphobia. These forms of discrimination are toxic, both in everyday life and in the workplace. Let's create a world where everyone can thrive, without fear of prejudice or marginalization. Inclusion is a fundamental human right, and it's our responsibility to foster a culture of acceptance and respect. In the workplace, discrimination can lead to: - Lower productivity - Higher turnover rates - Mental health issues - Decreased job satisfaction Let's work together to build inclusive environments where everyone can: - Be their authentic selves - Feel valued and respected - Contribute their best work Let's celebrate our differences and promote a culture of acceptance, empathy, and understanding. Happy Pride Month! #PrideMonth #Inclusion #Diversity #LGBTQPlus #RespectForAll #WorkplaceInclusion"

Assessment tools are excellent for helping clients understand the dynamics of non-conventional employment opportunities. Focusing on helping LGBTQ+ clients recognize the importance of positive, confident, well-informed communication habits through use of these tools represents one of the best ways to help individuals gain a proper perspective and foundation in business administration and operations, allowing them valuable insight into business norms across industries and unifying their talent and goals with the culture of non-conventional opportunities. These opportunities represent amazing chances for LGBTQ+ clients to enjoy finding new, non-conventional opportunities while helping them identify the most important, consistent habits needed for success. Asexuality is a valid orientation, and understanding and acceptance are crucial. Asexual individuals are integral to the diverse tapestry of society. We encourage open dialogue, dispelling stereotypes, and fostering an inclusive environment for all. In our role as a DEI consulting firm, inclusivity is at the core of our mission, not just during Ace Week, but year-round. 🌈 Celebrating Pride Month 🌈 As we enter the last week of June, Seattle SHRM continues to celebrate #PrideMonth honoring the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community and the overall importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in our workplaces and communities. DEI goes beyond policies and statistics; it’s about creating environments where everyone feels valued, respected, and free to be themselves. Of course, it is also important for us to advocate for equal rights and acceptance throughout the year! Here are key ways to maintain your support for these important values: 1. Educate and Raise Awareness: Host workshops, webinars, or discussions on LGBTQ+ issues and the importance of DEI. Education fosters understanding and empathy. 2. Promote Inclusive Policies: Review and update workplace policies to ensure they are inclusive of all employees, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. 3. Share Stories: Highlight the experiences and achievements of LGBTQ+ individuals within your organization. Personal stories can inspire and promote a culture of acceptance. We hope you have enjoyed Pride Month and that these ideas inspire you to make it an ongoing celebration! #PrideMonth2024 #LoveIsLove #DEI #SeattleSHRM

Welcome Pride Month! It is a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and honor the ongoing efforts toward equality and inclusion. Here are 3 ways to celebrate Pride Month: 1) Host Educational Sessions - Help coordinate a session of education and camaraderie during the year to educate employees about LGBTQ+ history, rights, and issues. Providing educational opportunities helps raise awareness, dispel myths, and promote understanding can help make a difference. 2) Show Visible Support - Display your support by wearing Pride-themed clothing or decorating your workspace with Pride-themed accessories. These visible signs of support can help demonstrate our commitment to inclusion and create a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ employees and allies. 3) Inclusive Language and Communication- Use preferred pronouns in email signatures and during introductions; ensure your communications reflect a commitment to inclusivity and respect. Happy Pride Month to all! #PrideMonth #Pride2024 #LGBTQ #InclusionMatters #DiversityAndInclusion #CelebrateDiversity #sundt #construction #DEI
