As we close the chapter on another year, many of us find ourselves reflecting on the transitions that have shaped our professional journeys. Whether you've embarked on a new career path, climbed the ladder within your current role, or are in the midst of seeking new opportunities, change is a constant companion in our careers. One aspect of these transitions that often weighs heavily on our minds is health benefits. The end of the year can bring about a sense of urgency to utilize remaining benefits, while also prompting us to consider what our health coverage will look like in the year ahead. As we look forward to the new year, it's an opportune time to reassess not just our career goals, but also how we prioritize our health and well-being. A new year brings new possibilities, and with it, the chance to align our professional aspirations with our personal health objectives. Let's embrace the transitions, advocate for our health needs, and step into the new year with confidence and clarity. Here's to a prosperous, healthy, and fulfilling 2024 for all of us! #CareerTransitions #HealthBenefits #NewYearGoals #ProfessionalGrowth

CARING FOR (phrasal verb): ✅ to do the things that are needed to help and protect (a person or animal) ✅ to look after (someone or something) ✅ to feel affection for (someone) ✅ to like or enjoy (something) ✅ to want (something) 1 in 4 Americans are caring for a loved one, this means that there are over 48 million caregivers. The profession of caregivers is only 4.5 million. This bodes the question: how is the caregiver caring for their loved ones, their daily work, their families and then themselves? It is a lot 💝 This Sunday I will be speaking at Aging Better Network's inaugural event: ConVERGEnce-experience and my topic is Caring For.... Who do we care for on a daily basis? Do we identify as caregivers? Do we care for ourselves? If you are in OREGON, join this outstanding conference. https://lnkd.in/gZew7WvC Thank you Christine A Smith for leading the change in Oregon and bringing awareness to a global challenge.

It's heartening to see Who Cares? Scotland answer the call from care-experienced individuals across the world to co-create this day of commemoration. As someone who proudly identifies as care experienced, this day holds personal significance. It's not just about remembering; it's about acknowledging the multifaceted experiences and advocating for positive change and equal opportunities needed for all care-experienced individuals. Reflecting on history, one poignant 'untold story' that resonates deeply with me is that of Ernest Bevin. His journey from care experienced youth to a pivotal figure responsible for fostering peace and cooperation across the free world, including the establishment of NATO, is a testament to the potential within every care-experienced individual. By celebrating the equality and achievements of care-experienced people, we pave the way for even greater accomplishments in future generations. Let's continue to amplify voices, challenge stigma, and champion inclusivity, ensuring that every care-experienced individual has the opportunity to thrive. #CEHM2024 #careexperience #diversity #equity #inclusion
Today, we take time to remember all the Care Experienced people who are no longer with us. We encourage you to do this in whatever way feels right for you. You can find out more about the day and its origins at https://lnkd.in/eacXPEFz

It's incumbent upon every member of society to extend a helping hand to the elderly and the helpless. These individuals have contributed to our communities and societies throughout their lives, and it's only fitting that we reciprocate their efforts by providing support and assistance when they need it most. Whether it's helping with daily tasks, offering companionship, or simply lending a listening ear, our gestures of kindness can make a world of difference in their lives. By assisting the elderly and the helpless, we not only demonstrate compassion but also foster a sense of unity and interconnectedness within our communities. It's through these acts of kindness and empathy that we strengthen the fabric of society, creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. Moreover, by acknowledging the value and dignity of every individual, regardless of age or ability, we cultivate a culture of respect and empathy that benefits us all. In the end, lending a helping hand to the old and helpless isn't just a moral obligation—it's a reflection of our shared humanity. By prioritizing the well-being of those who are most vulnerable, we cultivate a more compassionate and caring society for generations to come. So let's commit ourselves to supporting the elderly and the helpless, enriching not only their lives but also our own in the process.
