Which uses our recent SolidGaN solution (ISG3201) to integrate a half-bridge with driver and protection, etc., all in one package. This results in a converter that's 70% smaller than a Silicon counterpart, while delivering peak efficiency of 98.5%!

Factors such as increased charging cycles required, addition of bi-directional charging, on-site energy storage, and the increased number of vehicles served are requiring greater attention when it comes to the choice of technologies. The three-level T-type inverter is a popular candidate in traction/propulsion/industrial drive applications. The traditional SPWM modulation methods have shown a drawback of uneven loss distribution among devices, which is influenced by both modulation index and power factor. This paper from our recent work presents an Enhanced PWM modulation method for T-type inverter to balance the devices losses, regardless of modulation index and power factor, which offers several advantages, including higher efficiency, increased device life-time, and the potential for smaller cooling systems. https://lnkd.in/gXFQsTth
