Small business retailers, don't skip steps! The decision to grow your business is an exciting one, but when it comes to opening a brick-and-mortar store, there's a lot of work to be done BEFORE you can flip over an "open" sign. Before you can even choose a physical space, you must research and plan, which includes outlining your business plan, pinpointing a general location, and getting your finances in order. Working with a commercial broker is one way to help make the process run more smoothly. Local brokers provide their expertise and advice so you can focus on the other steps required to get a store up and running! If you're a small business owner in the Metro Orlando area and you're looking to grow your business, we can help! Celebrating Small Business Saturday! 🎉 As co-owner of a small business, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the incredible journey of others in the same boat. Today, on Small Business Saturday, I want to take a moment to highlight some of my favorite small businesses. Personal faves: ✨ Allure Advertising - We absolutely love working with Allure and have recommended Alaiya to a number of clients! 🌶️ Sauces by Jrk! : Their sauces reflect Jamaican culture through carefully sourced ingredients, bold flavor, and unwavering quality standards. 🥂 The New Bar - The alcohol-free drink discovery platform. Curated products, tips, and tools to help you drink less. 🪑 Ergonomia - They are the best source for beautiful commercial quality European indoor and outdoor furniture products. Their customer service is unmatched. ☕ Royal Roastery NOLA - I’ve watched this business grow and even branch out into other states. Their commitment to quality and the kindness of their team have won me over. I definitely recommend giving them a try. And while I’m excited to highlight these amazing small businesses, I also want to give you a glimpse into the life of a small business owner. Co-owning a small business is a mix of reward and stress (something most of us can relate to). But we know that what really matters is the experience we provide for our customers. For us, it’s super important to keep a close eye on how our clients feel during our time together. That also goes for all the vendors we work with, on any client or account. We strive to be the kind of people you remember, making the journey enjoyable for everyone. Small Business Saturday isn’t just about great deals; it’s about the hard work, sacrifices, and rewards that come with running a successful small business. So today, and every other day, we want to thank you for supporting us and encourage you to support more small businesses! Happy Small Business Saturday! #strategymavenagency #allureads #smallbusinesssaturday #royalroastery #thenewbar #saucesbyjrk #ergonomania #supportsmall

Really looking forward to this upcoming estate planning and pitfall session with RBC and a panel of accountant and lawyer experts who specialize in this area. This dynamic crew has a lot of interesting and important information to share, you don’t want to miss it! If you or someone you know has built a successful business and net worth, has a complicated family dynamic, would like to ensure their estate and affairs are in order and mitigate potential negative outcomes, and is interested in strategic tax planning this session will be incredibly valuable. “If you passed away today, do you know how much it would cost you?” Double taxation is a common pitfall in estates without proper planning and providing a runway for this planning. This planning should start years ahead of retirement to maximize outcomes. Even those with personal wealth outside of a business will benefit from this process. The presentation will start with an overview of executor services by Royal Trust, as being someone’s executor is much more than people think. Are they capable, have the time, information and expertise to do this significant role? Royal Trust can manage or help manage this significant and lengthy process. Then each of the four panel members will share some stories and tips on estate planning, and then there will be a time for Q&A. We all have some great experiences to share! I will be sharing some Lifebook engagement stories, where we complete a wholesome review of your net worth and tax tax mitigation strategies, collaborate with your other advisors including investment and legal team, and compile and provide a comprehensive executor package. There are so many great news stories from these engagements. From significant tax savings, to working through family challenges and clarity to the family on responsibilities and outcomes of someone’s will, power of attorney and representation agreement, to piece of mind to the client and family that the plan is thought out, there won’t be a fire sale of assets required to fund someone’s date of death tax return, and complete information for the date of death tax return is on hand and accessible to those who will need it. Please email me at Myriah.Foort@mnp.ca if you would like to be registered and provided access to the online WebEx link. Event is 9-10:30, Thursday January 25th.
9 more days to our Estate Event for business owners, with local island-based experts at the top of their fields coming together for your questions! This is an audience you won’t want to miss - and the best part is you can sign in from anywhere, no snow travel necessary! Reach out to register today
