At Mosaic, one of our core values is #growth which means we focus on providing our team members with opportunities for learning, challenge and career progression. This week the newest members of our Servant Leadership Development Program met together to learn more about what it means to be a #leader at Mosaic Pediatric Therapy. Discussing what our #values mean to each of us as well as how we see them in action is one way that we encourage a values-driven mission. We can't wait to watch this group grow and develop over the next 6 months together!

President-Louisiana State Nurses Association/Sigma North America Region 6 Regional Coordinator/DEI Practitioner/Assistant Dean/ Nurse Researcher/Mental Health Advocate/Nurse Education Consultant /CCNE Reviewer
Thank you Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing for the opportunity to tell some of my story in "A Nurse First Podcast". As I reflect on my journey in nursing, one thing stands out above all: the incredible value of mentorship. From the early days of uncertainty to the moments of triumph, having a mentor by my side has been a game-changer. They've guided me through clinical challenges, provided insights into the profession's nuances, and most importantly, helped me discover the path to balancing personal aspirations with professional growth. Mentorship isn't just about career advice; it's about creating a safe space to explore, learn, and evolve. It's about having someone in your corner cheering you on during victories and offering a hand during setbacks. Through mentorship, I've found the courage to pursue new specialties, take on leadership roles, and step outside my comfort zone. It's a journey of continuous learning and self-discovery that has shaped not just my career, but also my perspective on life. Today, I encourage every nurse, whether new to the field or seasoned in experience, to seek out mentorship. It's a transformative experience that opens doors, broadens horizons, and nurtures both professional excellence and personal fulfillment. To all the mentors out there: thank you for your unwavering support and guidance. And to those considering becoming mentors: your impact can truly change lives. Let's continue to create spaces where nurses thrive, learn, and excel together. #NurseFirst #MentorshipMatters #NursingJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #LifeLessons #CreatingSpace

My work is incredibly important to me, sitting squarely in a helping role through a systems approach. Often, I work in the moment. But as we kick off the fourth quarter of 2023, I’m taking time to focus on the future. What does that look like? In October, I’ll contribute with partners at: ◾ USAging Strategic Planning session ◾ C-TAC – CAPC Leadership Summit 2023. (For curious readers, C-TAC is the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care and CAPC stands for Center for Palliative Care.) When I’m asked to join national think tanks or work groups for strategy development, I integrate people I serve and the system we’re in. My approach is to see and make connections between disparate facts, looking outside the box. I partner with other organizations and realize how policy, politics, and innovation affects that work. It’s rewarding to have the challenge and the opportunity to continue helping tomorrow’s older adults. Sandy Markwood Pamela Curtis Jon Broyles Luke C. Life Safety professional specializing in Fire Alarm and Fire Extinguisher installation, sales, service, inspections, and design.
Great quick listen regarding leadership traits.
It's Wisdom Wednesday! 🎉 😃 This week, I had a great conversation with Lindsay McElwee regarding leadership traits and flexibility in leadership. Lindsay brings a wealth of experience from her various leadership roles at the American Cancer Society and ALS Association, where she served as National Director, Executive Director, and Managing Director. She emphasizes the importance of grit and grace as essential leadership qualities. Lindsay finds inspiration in leaders like britney spivey, Jaime Wesolowski and Colin Powell. She reminds us that "There is no deadline on your dreams" and "It's never too late or to early to get started." Listen now! #wisdomwednesday #leadership #nonprofit
