Our Clinical Leaders from Raleigh and Piedmont had the chance to try their hand at pasta making. It is impossible not to have a great time when we get together! Thanks for the fun Ryan, Cheyenne, Angela, Katharine, Lauren, Melanie, Anna and Callie.
New research from Compass One Healthcare and Press Ganey shows that loyalty is highest among patients with clean rooms and high-quality food service. In this latest study, we address how hospitals can better engage their environmental service and foodservice staff to help improve patient experience. Download the white paper here!
Dr. Darin Detwiler, LP.D. will be giving the closing keynote at #SmartSenseLIVE. His talk, "Product Safety as a Mission," will be an illuminating presentation. We're excited to learn more about the strategies behind ensuring consumer safety and preventing foodborne illness and product inefficacy.
Much to consider:
(1) Some sponsors are not willing to provide translated materials or pay sites for the additional resources/time required to build the infrastructure needed to successfully manage patients who are non-English speaking on an already complex clinical research protocol. We want to, but funding speaks louder than words.
We have a challenge enough time getting them to cover the costs of managing ANY patient, especially for investigator initiated/federal studies.
(2) When 50% of sites enroll ZERO patients patients on their activated trials, the focus first needs to be limiting scope of projects, improved feasibility/planning strategies, and saying NO more quickly to those studies that are outside of the strategic vision of the program.
When sites are constantly told they are “behind” and everything from the sponsor and CRO is labeled as “urgent”, all of a sudden, the needed conversation about inclusion and diversity goes by the wayside - how could it not.

The industry wants Michelin ⭐️ meals with microwaves as the only tools. This is my thought on DCT. Who will take the time to bring awareness to underserved and diverse communities and lay the foundation for educating new clinicians to consider research for their patients? There are a few but too far between. The real winners in my opinion will follow this path.

It's Sarah Remmer, your registered dietitian from Kepler Academy! Today I wanted to share three of my favorite strategies to use when your child rejects a meal that you've served.
First tip? Serve meals, family style. I do this almost every night. What this means is laying all of the foods or ingredients out on the table and your kids get to build their own meal. So they get to choose how much they put on their plate and what they put on their plate.
Number two, serve less. As parents, we often dish up way too much, even though we think that it's the amount that our kids need. Cue the overwhelm! The great thing is they can always go back for more, and this can save on food waste.
And number three, always serve a safe food along with the meal. Whether it's bread or fruit or pasta, it can sort of make the whole meal more approachable and safe for your child.
I go into way more detail on how to handle food rejection over on the Kepler blog this month. You can copy and paste this link in your browser to read it here https://bit.ly/48gZKDG

🍽️🍽️🍽️ Wondering what to cook? 🍽️🍽️🍽️
How about Osso Buco... we love it here at BeNourished! 😀
The beauty of this cut of meat is that it is cheap, fatty, contains the bone which is full of collagen, vitamins and minerals and is wonderfully tasty and tender when it has been slow cooked. Please always used grass-fed organic meat - it is well worth it.

If you have not considered a CERTUS FLEX for your liquid dispensing needs, then you are only making your scientific lab life far more difficult than it needs to be. 10nl and up dispensing capabilities with the highest precision possible at warp speeds beyond comprehension (ok, I have been watching too much Star Trek Voyager lately, but it is very fast nonetheless). Did I mention how easy the software is to use? I have trained my kids (7 and 11) how to use it in less than 30 mins (legitimate fact).
Interested in learning more? I can tantalize you further via one of the following ways...
1) Stop by the Future Drop booth (860) at SLAS Boston 2024
2) Attend our hosted pizza and chat event at Pastoral Pizza on Tuesday, Feb 6th at 6:30pm till 9:30pm EST
3) Reach out to me directly here on LinkedIn and I will be happy to setup an appointment to discuss
4) Follow us on LinkedIn! https://lnkd.in/eb3DpFqW
5) Go to www.futuredrop.com and check out brochures and pretty pictures of the CERTUS FLEX and imagine it sitting on your lab bench... making all your liquid dispensing problems disappear...
Obviously the best of those is at the pizza event, but I am slightly biased in saying that. 😁 See you at SLAS and our Pizza event!!
mmmm PIZZA!
(Yes we offer Gluten Free options so you can't make that an excuse)
