A Wellness Boost for your Soul–Joy of Missing Out (JOMO) This is contrary to popular belief We’ve all been there, haven’t we? Bugged by the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), whispering relentlessly in our ears– To be everywhere and do everything because “everyone else” is doing it. The fear of missing out on something that others might experience. The FOMO distracts us from our priorities and our true desires. It rings an immediate siren in our minds. Since everyone else is doing something-- That “SOMETHING” should be important to us. But the Joy of Missing Out (JOMO) is different. It empowers you to choose what truly matters to you. So, the next time you hear someone telling you– “Hey, this event is the most happening event. You just can’t miss it. Everyone is going to be here!” But your heart craves for something different. It longs for an evening of solitude. Where all you want to do is– Cosy up on your bed and read your favourite book. Or soak in moments of simply doing nothing. In such moments- Have the courage to break free from the grip of FOMO. And have the power to choose JOMO. You don’t have to be everywhere and do everything to live a life of fulfilment. Who is responsible for getting you well? It might sound like a trick question. The obvious answer is "me". But so often people's actions are showing the opposite, and often in subtle ways. This shows up as: 🕵️♀️ Expecting others (usually experts) to "fix" you 🕵️♀️ Believing that healing is outside of you (the magic supplement, medication or diet will fix me) 🕵️♀️ Getting angry or frustrated when that doctor, coach or pracitioner didn't "heal" you - even after all the money, time and energy you put in 🕵️♀️ Giving up and jumping onto the next "shiny" protocol, after you tried the last one once and it didn't work 🕵️♀️ Stuck in victim-mentality (when I have X - i.e. money, time, energy, less overwhelm - then I'll be able to heal; waiting for someone or something to rescue you) 🕵️♀️ Ignoring the fact that you have deeper unconscious blocks and resistances, and just trying to "surface-level" heal your body The number one thing we see in people who succeed in healing (in comparison to those that don't), is that they took full responsibility for their healing - which also means acknowledging that they are not just a "physical" body, but many bodies - mental, emotional, spiritial, energetic, unconscious and nervous system. 👊 Taking full responsibility also means embracing the fact that you created your body burnout. That your system created the results you are getting in your health and in your life, as to protect or serve you, or meet a need. Can feel quite offensive - but it's actually super empowering! This season I've been a little uninspired to be truthful...I've taken some time off for this very reason but my mind is working in the background as I plan my next moves for 2024. This isn't about New Year's resolutions. It's about analyzing what worked, what didn't. It's about reviewing the year & patting myself on the back for some pretty big accomplishments - 1.2 Million downloads & approx 170K/month on my podcast. This little mama who had so much going wrong a decade ago has completely changed over her life...& I'm proud of this. I wouldn't have been able to accomplish this without an audience...that's you.
