Male. Female. So much pressure to BE. To just be. There isn’t pressure though to consider an option to relearn your truth… to change your learning and aim for some equal areas. Just a small shift in perspective can make a huge impact. That’s possibly the challenge with diversity, equity & inclusion. Each of these are equally important. The balance. So it’s not - women against men, it’s not men are less important. It’s about the opportunities for women that haven’t been on the table before, AND opportunities for men that haven’t been on the table before. If this video resonates with you as a woman or a man or transitioning… if this resonates with you as a HUMAN, and it makes you feel something - be part of the change to work on equality. It’s a really good example for practical perspective…. https://lnkd.in/gYXwzkbT

Though Pride Month is meant to be a celebratory month, we would be remiss if we didn't hold space for the constant threats to BIPOC queer lives in this country and in our sport. With that said, awareness is not enough–we need action! Here's a list of some actionable items you can take: 📌 Ask questions, and do your own research. 📌 Recognize your privilege and use it for good. 📌 Take your online activism into real-life scenarios. 📌 Speak up for the underrepresented. 📌 Follow the lead of your LGBTQIA+ peers and organizations. We also encourage you to take time to facilitate meaningful conversations about making the running industry and run communities safer and more inclusive for BIPOC queer runners. And, check out this RIDC blog post that highlights historic LGBTQIA+ figures. ➡️ https://loom.ly/pw1fX4I #PrideMonth #Running4Diversity

Storytelling can and should be used to elevate our collective narratives. This is a beautiful reflection of that.
America Ferrera said that the best use of storytelling is to “hold the truth that we are all worthy of being seen. Brown, indigenous, Asian, trans, disabled, any body type, any gender, we are all worthy of having our lives richly and authentically reflected.” 👏

What does Gender Equality Mean in family, community , etc and how far you show it in your behavior and action? Recently there were posts on Facebook on parents cracking eggs on head/forehead of their children with lots of laughter; link below https://lnkd.in/dByb4i7a Put aside, the cruel action which sometimes really hurt the child as force of cracking is hard, which I can sense the pain and do not accept this behavior/act but while watching it almost five times to capture about human behavior, found perhaps some positive point/learning from this video clip! If you watch it carefully, will notice majority of boys are laughing at the scene or indifferent and really take it as a funny joke or look at from different perspective, does this mean that boys /future men we accept violence more naturally? However, this is not valid in girls - did not see even one case- and they take this cracking egg on their head as "kind of" intrusion of privacy and insult or misuse of their personality and they respond immediately verbally or physically! What I learn from it, in work place, we - male gender- must be very conscious and consider carefully our verbal or even physical behavior - e.g. patting on the shoulder as sign of support or even high FIVE- toward our female colleagues. Although there are high standard of equality in workplace and we all should follow BUT there is/are undeniably differences that we should diligently not only being aware of, BUT respectfully act on them as already almost over 20 years ago John Gary in his famous book of "Men from Mars Women from Venus" beautifully wrote bout it. What do you think, and how far you show it OR in fact is there any limit?

GIRLS BELIEVE THEY CAN BE ANYTHING, BUT DOES THE WORLD? A powerful, thought-provoking campaign from #Barbie! WORTH WATCHING! The Dream Gap is the space in between young girls’ wildly imaginative ambition and their full potential—hindered not because they’re incapable, but by the society they grow up in. Conscious and unconscious biases try to water down their dreams early on, but the Barbie Dream Gap Project is on a mission to close the gap by challenging gender stereotypes and helping undo the biases that hold girls back. Even though progress has been made toward gender equality, stereotypes and societal biases still exist that can affect a girl’s trajectory and future choices. The Barbie Dream Gap Project is a global mission dedicated to closing the gap by challenging gender stereotypes and helping undo the biases that hold girls back from reaching their full potential. https://lnkd.in/erKC5urj

🚨 Unmasking Inequality: A Must-Watch Video 🚨 This eye-opening video, flipping the script and posing questions typically aimed at female athletes to their male counterparts, is a sharp reminder of the disparities we need to address. This issue transcends sports—it echoes everywhere, at work, in organization, in boardrooms, startups, and VC pitches. Respect, gender equity, equality, and diversity are not just buzzwords; they're the keystones of a thriving ecosystem. Without it we will continue to operate with blind spots that devalue half of the population and major players in the ecosystem. Innovation flourishes when everyone has a seat at the table. Let's make equal opportunities and fair treatment the norm, not the exception. ✨ #DEI #Equality #DiversityMatters #Inclusivity #genderequity
