Happily Retired!

Am I the luckiest person in the world right now? After forty glorious years in the public relations industry (37 at DJE Holdings), I get to retire with a boatload of unforgettable memories and experiences, an army of friendships around the world, and the immense satisfaction of a job well done. (Really well done. 😉)  My heartfelt thanks to Richard Edelman Dan, Ruth, Renée S. Edelman and John Edelman and Pam Talbot for giving me the opportunity to thrive at the two best agencies in the business: Edelman and Zeno.  A big hat tip to my girl Lisa Sepulveda and to Victor Malanga, Peter Petros, Matthew Harrington, Kevin Cook, Jill Knisley, Patrick McGuire, Mitch Markson, Carrie Miller and plenty of others for greatly enriching my Edel-journey.   An enormous bright green THANK YOU to Barby K. Siegel, Grant Deady, Tony Blasco, Carol Gronlund, Jeff Burnett, Julie Georgas, Allison McClamroch, Missy Denja Maher, Mark Shadle, Kristie Kuhl, Matt Franks and the entire fabulous crew at Zeno for the most fun and rewarding ‘second act’ a girl could ever hope for.  #GreenMachine4Ever!  And one final thank you to the countless clients and colleagues who challenged me, inspired me, mentored me, occasionally took my advice, sometimes infuriated me 😉, and reminded me 1,000 times over that this is the job I was born to do. (Although I still think I would have been a good talk show host.) Next up for me: Amsterdam, Croatia, Nantucket, England, Scotland and Quebec. Plus two Midwest RV trips, a long lazy summer at the lake, a little kayaking, a lot of wine, several shelves worth of unread books, and a few new hobbies and classes.  Retirement – let’s do this!

SO Exciting! Does this mean you can come play with me in SF? Remember when I said I wanted to move here? 2 kids later, a few PR gigs, a lot of sweat, now @bodybybinay. Never slowing down, always having fun and forever grateful for the start you gave me. I could still see your edits/handwriting to this day (see below for one I saved!), the content was fabulous, the "Golden Gate Bridge" with the LF team and so many incredible memories. THANK YOU! Enjoy your travels, and stop in SF sooon. 😍

Nancy Ruscheinski First off, you deserve this next chapter and one that is filled with travel, adventure and openness of what could come. I do remember how our paths started as kids so many years ago, and how dazzled I was by your talent when I returned to E and camped out in Chicago for those months, and your resilience and energy you have displayed during these years. But what i remember most Nancy is your focus on people, your colleagues, all these years. Enjoy, and let us know when/if you start a podcast (well, today's new talk show) -- I'll be sure to listen in.

Nancy, when I think of my career at Edelman, you are at the forefront of my experience. One of the best leaders I have ever had the privilege to work with. So smart and creative while being one of the most genuine and kind people at Edelman. But your love for your family and your passion for doing good is what I've always admired most. You are and always will be an inspiration to so many of us. I wish you all the best in your retirement.❤️

Nancy, you have been the greatest boss, mentor, coach, and, most importantly, friend to me for so many years...I am truly grateful and lucky to have had you in my corner all these years (and I know this won't end just because you're retiring 😎). I'm so looking forward to celebrating together in a few weeks! 🍸 🍸 Congratulations, Nanc. The best is yet to come! ❌ ⭕

Nancy Ruscheinski, incredibly, we aren't officially linked in. But we are inextricably linked, always have been, always will be. Thanks for being one of my favorite PR friends, for sharing your enthusiasm for this business we both love so much. Cheers to you, my friend.

Wow! End of an era. Thank you so much for the coaching, counseling and more you have offered to me during our many years working together and some when we were in different parts of the DJE colossus. Best of luck to you in your new endeavors. In six years we will see you in the Hall in Cooperstown. Congratulations!!!

Nancy, you came to mind this morning as I saw the 2014 Edelman Academic Summit in my Facebook memories section. What an AMAZING job you did coordinating and facilitating that event that had a priceless impact on the 75 PR professors in attendance! Hearty congratulations on your retirement! 🥳 I am grateful to you and so glad we crossed paths 10 years ago.
