At its core, an internship is a mutually beneficial partnership between the learner and the employer. Internships in Career Technical Education (CTE) uniquely bridge classroom learning in CTE programs with real-world application, offering a high-quality experience and a direct path to careers in in-demand fields. It's an opportunity for learners to develop skills, explore career paths, and showcase their abilities, all while bringing lessons learned back to the classroom. Employers gain early access to skilled talent pipelines, and the opportunity to ensure CTE program curriculum aligns with employer needs. With internships in CTE, everyone wins! #InternshipAwarenessDay

April is #InternshipAwarenessMonth! Grant's Industry Scholars Program in #NYC places 2,500 students each year into quality sector-based paid internships throughout the city. Many of these internships lead to full-time employment. Our Job Corps teams in Brooklyn and the South Bronx also work with students, connecting them to internships and training opportunities that set them on the path toward career success. Students who participate in these programs have access to: ✏️Work Readiness Training & Support: Students participate in training to prepare for their internships and careers and receive support throughout the program. 💻Immersive Internships: Students are placed in internships at a variety of companies aligned with their field of study. ✏️Credentialing Opportunities: Upon completion of the program, students may be eligible for school credit, a CTE endorsed diploma, or for Job Corps students, a variety of industry-recognized credentials. 💻Future Employment Opportunities: Students graduating with internship experiences are more likely than students without those experiences to find employment upon graduation. Grant is proud to partner with NYC Public Schools Career & Technical Education (CTE), Partnership for New York City, NYC Mayor's Office of Talent and Workforce Development and Us Dept Of Labor to provide these life-changing and enriching internships to #NYCYouth.✨ Interested in the Industry Scholars Program?
