We applaud the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for issuing a proposed rule to keep both indoor and outdoor workers safe from heat injury and illness. Death from occupational exposure to excessive heat is never acceptable, and this proposed rule ensures all workers remain free from the hazards associated with working in extreme heat conditions. #WorkplaceSafety #KeepEachOtherSafe Learn more about the proposed rulemaking and find resources to help you stay safe here: https://lnkd.in/gE9TeM6J.

Outdoor workers are at risk of the effects of excessive heat. When working under hot conditions, the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends #WaterRestShade as well as allowing more frequent breaks for new workers or workers who have been away from the job for a week or more (acclimatization). Knowing symptoms, prevention, and emergency response methods can help prevent heat-related illnesses and death. The day promotes the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally. Workers and employees spend most of their time in the organisation where they work to earn money. The office or workplace is like a second home. So, it is important to maintain healthy standards so that any kind of mishappening or injury related to work does not take place or be avoided. Therefore, World Day for Safety and Health at Work is observed on April 28 to spread awareness about it. The day also focuses on enhancing social dialogues around the culture of safety and health. #acfslogistics #happyworldhealthsafetyday #shippingindustry #warehousing
